Dongshan River Water Park

This is one of the most successful planning project in yilan. It turns flooding zone into recreational park. There is major festival hosting here for couple times a year, but I enjoy coming here to see my kids practice sailing. There are various water sports that’s available here. Super relaxing and wonderful!

Fantastic place for the kids and adults to play on all the water activities within this pool park. Loved it and a great way to cool off on any hot and humid day. Fully recommend coming here and cheap in price too. Arrive early so you can take advantage on a pool side beach umbrella seating area.

Great place for cycling and running/jogging/walking even in the winter. The cycling track goes all the way to the Dongshan Train Station where there’s a small playground underneath the rail.

Also there is a bicycle rental shop opposite the train station. Along the track you can see paddy field and the scenic river. Definitely a pleasant visit!

We rode borrowed bikes on a beautiful afternoon in October along the tree-lined bike path on both sides of this river. We loved it.

3years ago i was going somewhere not knowing this place, i didn't emagine when i get here how beautiful this place i seen.

Very nice bike path along river, with place to rent various bikes at beginning near the park. We got a tandem electric bike, made the experience very enjoyable and relaxing. Took it all the way to base of mountains, passing train station, green park, and even a nice cafe for a rest stop.

Beautiful place with water activities! Loved the visit with my family. Boat ride was very exciting with refreshing views around! Highly recommended, I am sure you will not regret spending sometime here with your family...or friends or alone!❤🙂🙏

Wonderful sceneries and paths for visitors to enjoy the relaxing moment. The previous county mayors did great jobs planning these public places to be well-known attractions.

Good for your children. A world class performance stage

place on winter time it's good to be there, and you must be careful about your walking because it kinda you can slips or ( shoes slide ) on the road .

Large park with dinosaur sculptures connected to the cycling trail to Dongshan railway station.
July & August outdoor swimming pools and Children's International Folk Festival. (Worth buying a seasonal ticket if plan going there more than once.)
Dragon Boat Festival takes a place there.
Public bathrooms, drinks vending machines, paid parking, in season additional services and food stalls.
Tip for a trip: if are in the area, take train to Dongshan, rent bicycle opposite the railway station & explore that area.

Great spot for kids & families

Nice place to walk around and enjoy nature. In the summer you can take small boats out onto the water and it's a great activity for families.

I Loved the landscape, a green that you cannot find in all the places and a pretty clean water, with lots of activities such al sailing or padding, water games and events in the nearby park.

Great place to spend an afternoon, if u have SUP or any kind of board bring it there and enjoy the river

Had fun with family's and friends, great for kids o all ages.

Known for the Tong Wan Festival during the summer, it's a great place to take kids or to experience cultural performances.

Wonderful place for passing time. Is recommended if coming to Yilan for travel.
