First time staying here.
Quiet resort in the city of Yilan. Bit of a distance from city centre, not walking distance to many places. Price is relatively high.
Comfortable and relaxing. Beautiful room with outdoor tub.
It has a few restaraunt options.
Worth a try.

A superb resort with so many extras and their attention to service excellence. The room we stayed in has its own hot spring tub. One of the coolest features was the self service cocktail machine, cocktails made to order with a touch of a button, complimentary to Lounge Access Members! Every night there are late night snacks offered to guests too! The rooms also came with local famous Yilan biscuits. Breakfast was delicious with variety of International selections.

The hot springs here was amazing, very clean and well laid out even with a resting area. This stay was truly an amazing one and one feels so recharged and ready for the next pitstop!

I stayed in 6/6/23 for one night. I bring my 83 years old mother with me to celebrate late Mother’s Day. Gary Chang did a great service behind what we expected. Great attitude and service. Really appreciated his arrangement and service. We will come back to Westin Yilan again. Very good experience and nice resort to stay.

Absolutely gorgeous hot spring resort. The staff is amazing and the in-room balcony hot spring tub was lovely. I will definitely be coming back. Amazing experience.

A very luxurious place with all the facilities you need and it offers bf and dinner and midnight snack. The rooms are spacious and has your own private hot springs.

The room also offers alcohol and beverages plus some local snacks.

Thumbs Up 👍

We had our family vacation stayed in 801 mansion. It's a fantastic experience. 1+1 building, 2 rooms for sleep in one building and another as lisure room. Also equipped with a small swimming pool. To bad that was a cold raining day, must be terrific if we stay duing summer time. Anyway it's a out-of-expectation tour.

This was our second time at The Westin Yilan, and again, we loved it. We always feel so spoiled! The staff, the atmosphere, everything is amazing. The rooms have great attention to detail and provides everything you need.
Both times we had the garden suite and it’s such a treat! We’ll be coming again for sure🤗

We have had an amazing and very relaxing time at the hotel. The staff at the front desk and at the restaurants were very warm and welcoming. They were attentive to all our needs and have helped us out a lot since we are from out of the country. Wonderful service overall!

Our rooms were clean and nicely decorated for a relaxing stay. The rooms had all the amenities we needed, and we've enjoyed our private hot spring tub as well!

Also, there is a great variety of local food for an affordable price at the buffet!

Would love to stay again!

The room and facility is high above the norm.
The breakfast is delicious and remarkable. The head chef- Andy Cheng was there on the spot serving freshly made Taiwanese breakfast!! Andy was very kind and talkative explaining about the facility’s hot spring history and nearby POIs.

Thank you Andy!!

A Beautiful hotel with Japanese fusion ~

The hotel provides lot of kids programs every day to keep them busy if the parents want to have some kids-free time 🤣

The hotel has a kids recreation center at B1 floor for younger age kids, and parents can accompany them or enjoy the ping pong or snooker 🎱 inside of the creation center ~

Our room is very comfortable and spacious. you can enjoy the nice view from the balcony or have some afternoon reading time ~

It’s a great place for relaxing.

Enjoy the open-air hot springs, hot spring baths, swimming pool, gym, and a lot of facilities here.
Moreover, staffs also hold a variety of activities for children, such as handmade things, escape room, boating, and so on. Therefore, you never feel bored here!

Happy hour: 17:00- 19:00 (drinks and desserts for free)
Late night supper: 21:45-22:15 (Taiwanese food for free)

Hi, we are a Chinese couple and had made a booking there for September. However I realised that there was a mega ancient cemetery just behind the resort. May I know where is the source of your onsen water? From the nearby hills? Thank you.

Very friendly staff and room of premium quality. The restaurant for dinner buffet is also nice. Will definitely come back again. Indoor parking for free is a big plus.

I have Platinum Elite status, received an upgrade to Garden suite. I checked in late on Friday. I have missed my dinner. There was complimentary midnight snack 宵夜, noodles and ground pork rice, delicious. There was no VIP lounge. The complimentary breakfast was sumptuous and wonderful. The room was spacious with a hot Spring jacuzzi outdoor on the porch, Overlooking a nice walled in backyard. What a Perfect setting- I can enjoy the hot spring in my own private room anytime. Everything in the room was complimentary- Yilan cookies, coffee, juice, plenty of bottled water. Vivian Chang at the front desk was so courteous, nice and thoughtfu. Knowing that I had a tour in the morning and won’t have enough time to enjoy this beautiful hotel, she allowed me to have a very late check out so I can enjoy the hot spring after a tiring walking tour. I would definitely come back to this hotel. I highly recommend this hotel.

The Westin hotel very peaceful very beautiful very good service .
The buffet dinner and breakfast were very delicious. I like the ice cream.
plus the Hot Springs very well done and I like they have a wet sauna.
I’d like the parking garage when it’s raining outside we do not get wet.
Definitely will come back.

Visited here at end of Feb for 3 days vacation together with my wife and daughter. Location is like 15 mins from Yilan core area but still easy to get via car. The hotel is great with spa, hot spring, children playground. Buffet for breakfast is quite good; dinner buffet is okay. They provided free meal at later evening at cafe. I also ordered duck pizza once at cafe; it is great! Room is comfortable and bed is branded set ( a bit too soft for me personally). Service is quite good with friendly and helpful attitude. Enjoy staying here and will love to visit again.

Overall impression is it’s pretty good. Not incredible but not sub-par either. Just a solid hotel for a family vacation.

Here are some shortfalls from our short 2-night stay. Firstly, it’s a much smaller property than Westin Tashee and located away from local attractions. Actually we almost missed the entrance as it’s right at a low-rise neighborhood corner turn and could easily be missed. Don’t expect some grand private road leading up to a welcoming entrance of a resort. Secondly, they do have a play area with plastic ball pool n slide and you can rent a mini car (although I’m not sure where you ride it). But aside from that, I’m not sure where else the kids could kill time. Finally, we didn’t use the pool but from a glance, it’s quite small and facing a wall (ie no view of the mountain or anything).

That said, some items really turned out better than expectations. Firstly, the restaurants and their service. We could really tell the chefs took pride in their dishes both at the Japanese and buffet restaurant. Our boy made a mess and broke a cup at the Japanese place and staff were super understanding and offered some drawing paper and pencils to keep him distracted so us parents could enjoy our meal. For the buffet, i enjoyed it even if it didn’t offer too much variety. Chefs were personable and recommended some dishes to try and even personally made the noodles for us. The steak offered at dinner was shockingly good. I’m so used to steaks and prime rib overcooked and dry at hotel buffets but not here.

Aside from food, our kids themed room was a pleasant surprise as well. Big and roomy with high ceiling. Our son enjoyed the space for sure. Cherry on top was the nice sized hot spring bath in the room. Great to spend some time playing in there with your young infant. Room speaker connected via Bluetooth was perfect for playing white noise and lullaby at night.

Would I go back again, sure. Feels like while Westin tashee wins when it comes to kid activities, Westin yilan has more parents in mind.

Nice zen ambience and friendly staff. Rooms are clean and up to Westin standards. Hot springs are the main attraction for the locale with two open air options rotating for men/women on a daily basis. The drinks provided in the changing room was changed from ice tea to hot ginger tea for the winter season which is a nice touch. The selections at breakfast spread was good with healthy focus and a couple local specialties.

A little more means a lot - 17-18th Dec & 4-5th March

On 17th, We arrived early at 1.30 pm. The reception service staff was very efficient. She patiently went through the hotel vicinity map as well as the activities available here. She took the effort to walk us to the 2 different building blocks and explained especially in detail about the kids activity area in B1 knowing we have 3 eager young kids. Her effort in walking us around gave us the VIP feel

As it was raining and weather was cold at 16 degrees. I find the offer of hot ginger tea to guests, to me at least, is very welcoming and thoughtful. A little thought that warmed our hearts and stomachs

When we were having dinner, we wanted mushroom soup at the end of our meal, we realised that there were no more left. The chef readily freshly cooked some extra portion although it was already near 9pm. This act made us grateful and feeling special.

After dinner, we proceeded to the lounge to claim our free drinks. Only to realised that Happy hour is only till 9pm. Seeing us disappointed, she volunteered to consult her manager. A whisky and hot chocolate (not part of free drink menu) drink were arranged. That was really an extra mile.

During the DIY session on Saturday, the young twins wanted to sit together at the DIY table to witness Vivienne doing the lip gross. The friendly service staff took extra care as it involved heating. She was kind and attentive enough to allow all 3 to interact although it was only 1 item meant for 1 kid. This act of kindness delighted the 3 kids.

We returned on the March 4th, Good to mention that the dinner buffet is of quality with good spread including very rich selections of desserts and ice creams. The cuisine changes and for 4th night, it was 南洋。 We enjoyed the chicken rice(very authentic), chilli crab and sambal 板条. Yummy.

We wish to give Special mention to The executive chef, Andy and chef Mr Chung. They are always at the serving area to interact and assist us. They patiently explained the ingredients and the cooking style/methods to us. We understand They optimise the local ingredients usage. It made us appreciate our food better. Kudus to them!

Well done team Yilan Westin. We shall be back.
