Fairy Story Ecological Farm

The environment is tranquil and soothing, and a good chance for city folk to experience living in a farm. The entire farm is a hectare, and features different fruit trees - a very good sampling of types of fruits rather than a more conventional large scale farm. My family enjoyed the rice threshing experience immensely, and were offered fruits and rice to bring home very generously by the owner.

The rooms we stayed in featured a hot tub pumping in heated spring water and a small slide set, which we thought would have been perfect for young children.

Dinner provided was a glorious bouquet of seafood, meat (of your choice) and fresh vegetables freshly harvested. That was brilliant.

It’s not the most convenient, but worth a trip if you’re keen to have a taster experience of small farm life.

The room is clean and bright. The owner has indeed spent a lot of effort in designing the room.

If travelling with bigger group, the rooms can be interlinked. Able to spend time together yet have own privacy.

The hotel room was clean and comfortable with all the amenities you would need. The staff were exceedingly helpful and went out of their way to make you feel at home. Upon hearing that we like their delicious kumquat and roselle drinks, we were never short of these drinks (complimentary!) for the rest of the stay. They also went over and above to assist my mum with mobility issues to make her stay as enjoyable as possible. Definitely a place I would recommended for someone looking for a farmstay in Yilan.

Lovely place for families. We were given 4 interconnecting rooms, which was great for 4 families. Rooms came with slide within the room which made it an instant hit with the kids. Lots of fun activities to keep everyone entertained, from feeding koi fish to harvesting fruits to DIY projects. The lady running the farmstay was super warm and helpful. Highly recommend this place.

I was attracted by the design of the rooms at Fairy Story Ecological Farm when I first googled for homestay/farmstay at Yilan. We booked at room that can accommodate up to 6 pax for 2 nights. We have 4 adults and 2 young kids. The owner was a very friendly lady and ensure we were well taken care of. She also offered to upgrade my room to the highest floor for free and that room comes with rooftop window where we can do stargazing. She was very friendly and provided advices for place of interests, help to contact driver to explore Yilan and town. She knew that some of us was coughing, she made kumquat juice for us to drink. We also toured around her eco-farm and booked her steamboat for lunch. The ingredients were very fresh and the portion is huge. There a good choice of teas which were homemade by owner. We had a wonderful experience and really appreciate her hospitality.

It’s not only a homestay but an experiential farm. Not only kids enjoy but the old folks!

The old folks also enjoy the jabotibaca! The lady boss said we were lucky to taste it as not all could have the fruit!

There are chicks and chickens in the farm and you can feed them!
The lady boss was kind and has offered another round of vegetables for the kids to feed the chickens!
There are fishes and other plants which the lady boss was patiently showing us around.

Lady boss would patiently teach you and generously give each person a pack of rice as the end product!

It was such a good experience! Highly recommended to anyone who wants to see firefly. Actually we did not expect much to see firefly in rainy day, but we planned to go anyway. The owner of the hostel was so helpful and kind, she knew that we traveled for so long and wished to see firefly, therefore she returned to hostel and served only two of us. Luckily, we were able to see fireflies!!!! The owner also drove us back to our hotel, she was so kind to us!

The room is very suitable for young kids and countryside living with a beautiful Mountain View! It also has fun DIY activities suitable for all ages. The owner is also very friendly and nice to us. We love this place a lot and will definitely come back again!

Excellent place for children’s vegetable farm experience, family outing and relaxation. Prices are reasonable, with freshly harvested organic vegetables available for meals. Can arrange to harvest tomatoes and maize corn for own consumption. Ministers to town and other attractions.
Host and staff are friendly and hospitality was excellent.

My kids loves the room a lot, especially the slide and the spa tub! The room is so cute and cosy! Love the farm tour and the hot pot is so yummy! would definitely come again

Super kids friendly. My 5 yr old loves the slide in the room. Plus an awesome countryside view from both windows.

Tried out the 碾米 and 三星葱油饼 and had a fantastic time with my daughter and wife. The hotpot lunch was absolutely delicious with all the organic ingredients! Will come back again for sure! Will try out the minsu as well next time!

Relaxing place, DIY spring onion making session was fun and the pancakes tasted so good. Lunch was steamboat within the restaurant in the farm- portions were generous and ingredients were tasty and fresh. The owner of the farm and her team showed great hospitality and we enjoyed our stay very much !

The house here is very clean and there are also natural farms where you can choose an eco-tours day trip! Miss Lizhu is very friendly and service is very good! Today’s also my baby girl’s birthday, Specially to help my little daughter to set up a tent again, she is very happy, and my family and I also think that value for money!

Great Farm Stay at Fairy Story Farm，a must stay until are in Yilan to enjoy different kind of experiences. Super yummy Breakfast and steamboat dinner with Organic vegetables. Lady Boss is super friendly and helpful, she drive us around when she is not busy and her staffs also very helpful and cooked porridge for my 20months baby. Check out their new room with slides and soft toys, a huge bathtub that the kids enjoying every moments.

We are from Singapore. Family of 9, including 2 kids. The rooms are clean and suitable for families.
The host was very kind to send across the different room themes for selection during booking.
Must stay in the new wing, hot spring water are piped directly into tub inside each room. Able to soak in the comfort of own room. Kids love it!
The steam boat is also very fresh and tasty. Overall a very good experience.

A beautiful farm stay with very friendly owners. Highly recommended to stay a night there but we didn't this time round and regretted it. The rooms are homely, beautiful and comfortable, there are activities on the farm which will keep the young and old busy for the whole day. It is also very near to scenic parks and Luodong Night Market which is a huge plus.
