Jiangongyu Islet

Very cool experience! I went around 2 hours before low tide and the islet was easily accessible (only at one point on the walkway was there a small stream that got my shoe partially wet).

The walkway is inevitably a little slippery so it’s best to use caution and keep an eye on the ground.

I went around sunset time and the views were magnificent. Once you reach the islet, there are several lookout points and other rooms that made up the old military establishment.

By the time I returned, it was around 70 minutes to low tide and I didn’t have to wade any depth of water at all.

On the walkway, there is the ‘Oystermen’ artwork, depicting figures that seem to walk on water when the tide is high. It is quite a beautiful sight.

Time the tide to get on top of the inlet. The oyster farming is so ideal here. With low tide, it gets 4-5 hours of sunshine. Perfect for oyster grows. You also see the new bridge that connects 2 major kinmen island and China in a far side of the view. Walkway is made of granite, it can get really muddy. Don’t wear nice shoes.

The way the stone path to the island reveals itself when the tide retreats is really unique, especially if you've seen it at full tide before when the path was completely submerged. If possible, come when it's at low tide AND during sunset.

Nice place to visit,can only visit if the tide is low, so make sure that you check the time. Great view and nice walk

My favorite place in jinmen. Super cool small military outpost that's separated or connected to/from the main island depending on the tide.

Looks like an islet floating in water, though you can walk up there while low tide time. Watch out the time of high tide, you might be stuck in it! The portrait is Zheng Cheng gong.

Must see in Kinmen. Be careful when tide comes you won't have much time to leave the islet. Water floods the path quickly.

Nice place to bring your kids to experience the close contact with nature during low tide. Bring your own scooping net and bucket to catch some little crabs and mud skippers. Do exercise catch and release to protect the environment.

非常讓人感動的景緻，還好努力早起沒錯過。前一天在延平郡王祠對面觀景臺先看到高水位的景色，也掃了潮汐時間表 QR code 。隔天 10/17 乾潮 07：22 往前推算可以走過去的時間，有即時影像可以參考實際退潮情況，快六點看到水退了。六點多上島看完剛好太陽升起超美的。再慢慢走回來看沿途泥裡的小生物們。路很滑要慢漫走。要自己抓好時間往返以免受困回不來。

1.必須注意潮汐退潮時間
2.退潮前半至1小時即可通過
3.注意時間18:00後燈光昏暗危險
4.很多石塊還潮濕有些滑注意
5.踩踏儘量以踩殼類貝比較安全
6.去回+拍照大概20分鐘左右
7.傍晚可以看到遠方的金門大橋燈光
8.建議穿比較有防滑功能的鞋
9.退潮時人多渡過還是盡量分散
10.門口外面停車位少
11.附近紅線不要停找白線
