No. 9 Green Island Backpackers Inn

I've been full-time travelling for almost 4 years, and the memories I've made here will always be kept close to my heart.

Summer, Xiangxiang, and AhZi are your 3 best hosts because they truly care about you having a good time.

From the second I walked in, they took care of me with a lot of sincerity, and after a week of being there, I felt true friendship, which is very rare to have in the first place.

The location of the hostel itself is very close to the harbour, and there's a rooftop that has amazing views. I spent quite a few mornings there meditating and enjoying the ocean

Right in front of the hostel is a snorkelling/diving zone. Visibility is very good, and you can rent gear from just around the corner.

For food, you can always walk over to the Korean place closeby or the drink store right in front sells skewers too. If you can ride a scooter, the hostel is only 3 mins to the "main street" and 15 mins from the bar area.

Wifi was consistent throughout my stay. There is strong hot water and an area for you to hang your clothes if you hand-wash them. There are also hair dryers.

The bed was comfortable, and the air-conditioning worked well. They also do daily cleaning of the floor. If you come with friends you should know they have karaoke rooms on the second floor too, very convenient if you need a nighttime activity.

The place was nice and comfy, and the location was great, but the best part was definitely the staff. I give 5* for the place and millions for the staff. They've been super nice, helpful and they made my stay amazing.
It's a group that has the hostel, a hotel, a diving center etc., and it seemed that the main focus is to have high quality staff that really knows how to take care of the guests. I tried diving for the first time with one of the instructors and it was amazing, I went to the Blue Cave with them and the same, and they even helped me book experiences with other companies when needed.
Because of them, I want to go back before leaving Taiwan!

People talked about how the best things in Taiwan is the people, this is definitely true if you had a chance to visit NO.9. While chatting with the staffs and helpers at this place, I was able to gain lots of useful information about the island. The staffs have been very kind and friendly throughout my visit. Moreover the variety of different services offered will be able to satisfy visitors of different interests. Special thanks to the diving instructor WeiBo, staffs members 阿智 妮妮 大雄, and everyone else I did not mention.

It’s my first time coming to Green Island and the stay at No.9 Green Island Backpacker hostel was FANTASTIC because it’s really a bonus for the trip!

*Summer is super friendly and helpful, 阿湘keeps track of the mosquitos during night time, although I met 阿智 before checkout, he’s very nice and FRIENDLY as well!!!

The room is similar to a capsule but way better because there is plenty space for each room and our privacy is well kept it’s not the “common” bunk beds type of hostel. The design is just “🙌🏾👌🏾🤙🏾”. The entire environment is clean and tidy! Maybe they need to try to fix the showerheads so each room can have a more powerful water:) what I like the most is it only took me a minute to reach the boat when I went boat diving!!! Very good location I must say!

Last but not least, I highly recommend this place!!

I would highly recommended this hostel to anyone that plans to visit green island. The hostel is pretty new and clean with great facilities provided :) The staff were very friendly , hospitality and gave good recommendation on what to do on the island.

The location and the staff is very good. The accommodation is good with clean facilities. 9 backpackers also helped to book for transportation and dive tour.

Good for backpacker to stay. Bed is clean, can doing laundry for free. If you're a surfer or diver, this place is a good choice to stay!

人生第一次住背包客棧，整體感受相當的舒服，管家非常的友善也非常的體貼，一開始用Line做詢問的時候管家也非常有耐心的幫我處理船票、OW考證、聯繫潛水教練等等⋯
繁瑣的事務，到了現場小幫手們也很nice會推薦綠島好吃的好玩的，甚至還帶我這個在綠島沒有朋友的背包客出去玩🥹

1.地點超讚！
2.兩側就有租車、水上活動業者很便利
3.民宿樓上還有付費KTV ，可以當雨備。
4.管理員有阿智、湘湘、summer大頭妹~服務品質高，人超好，又帥又美！
5.不用擔心晚歸被鎖在門外！
6.內外有足夠座位區可以休息聊天，頭上還有強力的電風扇完全不怕熱，其中外面的座位區很有渡假feel 。

硬要說缺點的話...就是大自然難免會有蟲蟲出現吧（蟋蟀還有...），然後廁所比較沒有空氣流動會有點悶。

整體分數我給98分！
我蠻喜歡的，這裡已列入口袋名單。

住宿從港口步行一分鐘就可以到，住宿地點到任何景點也都很方便。這裡服務很周到，會貼心提醒購買船票的時間，還會推薦綠島好吃好玩的景點！

最後因為徒步來不及買回程船票，還有人願意專門載我們到售票口，終於趕上船班🥹 超級感動啊啊啊😭
