Highly recommended spot to visit in Taiwan. The sunset view is so picturesque. During weekend, there are many local Taiwanese tourists. Cute natural beings like crabs, fishes and birds. Better check out the sunset time online and well plan your schedule, otherwise you miss the timing

Wetland preservation area with wind turbines and a great sunset. The area is walkable and has parking near by. The peir leads all the way out into the wet land and allow people to enter the wet land at certain areas.

Gaomei Wetlands is definitely a must visit place . It is so mesmerizing and scenic . Moments here is so precious and lovely ♥

Been here twice, was amazed both times! Be sure to wear shoes like crocs or sandals when visiting because you can take off your shoes to actually walk onto the wetlands once you reach the end of the dock. Didn’t get to see sunset because it was too cloudy, but definitely try to arrive 30 minutes before sunset for an even better experience. There are many crabs by the docked area, but barely any by the area where you can walk on, so don’t be afraid of stepping on any crabs. Also, don’t wear a hat because it will get blown away, and you will go home with one less hat.

Great place to see the sunset and for the kids to splash about or romantic walk.

Beautiful but crowded, can find funny crabs with 1 bigger claw on one side.

Beautiful view, also the good photo spot the wind is so strong! And there is a big wind turbine that make this place really have nice view! Really great moment. We also can walk in the water when low tide come.

Lovely sunset! Definitely worth visiting.

It’s SUPER windy when the weather is great. But please do come and see the sunset here. It’s fantastic. Make sure you wear a waterproof shoes or slippers and go across the wetland! You’ll have a different experience.

Amazing nature, unfortunately too crowded. I Forgot to bring my flip-flop so I couldn’t get my feet deep into the water. Very easy to reach it with public bus- 309 from taichung city center.

There is also the fish market nearby if you want to see some special creatures and maybe also taste some (:

Very beautiful place, its better to go for sunset or sun rise. There is no transportation, You need to travel by your own vehicle.

The most beautiful place I have ever been to. The sunset view, with the wind blowing, water below the feet and the clouds approaching us. Can there be a better experience?

How beautiful the wetland is!After ebb tide,many seashells,petite fishes,little shrimps and fiddler crabs were left behind.But many tourists are catching those creatures in the intertidal mudflats. Is that no problem ?
