IWS Car Rental

Singaporean here.

New car (procured in Jun 2022 with less that 10,000km mileage). Car was clean (think they’ve a mini workshop behind the shop to maintain and clean the car). Upon returning the car, I drove behind their garage and noted many new cars / SUVs too.

Service-wise, superb. Because I was travelling with my elderly mom, IWS car rental was the only car rental company (after approaching 3 others) that could guarantee my car type with auto sliding doors. In addition, because they knew it was my first time driving in Taiwan, they took efforts to WhatsApp me driving tips in Taipei, including the petrol kiosk and toll fees processes.

One more thing - they didn’t upsell me. In fact, I wanted to purchase additional insurance but they candidly told me that’s not required, especially for foreigners. This demonstrates honesty.

Will definitely rent from IWS again when I next visit Taiwan :))

Extremely professional service. We were served by Mr Tan who gave very helpful and detailed advice during the car rental process in terms of car insurance coverage, traffic rules/signs, speed limits etc as it was the first time we were renting a car to drive in Taiwan.

He also checked that the car sys was compatible with our android handphones for the navigation. All these were done patiently and thoroughly past their working hours (8pm) because our flight was delayed by ~1hr.
We returned the car rather hassle free and without any issues as well.

Great car rental shop. Rented a Corolla cross for 8 days. Very new car. Gotten the hybrid version which is a bonus. Fuss free process. Probably could improve on the quality of the car seat provided.

5mins drive from terminal. they'll provide pick up and drop off for guests, pretty quick to get and return car.
cars are new and good value for money.

Great pricing, the most reasonable I could find by far for a mini-bus type that could ferry 8 people and loads of space for luggage stowage.

The rental place is some distance away from the airport, but a convenient pick up service is included. Give them a call and wait at no.28 pillar to be picked up to the rental office and garage. We waited about 15 mins for the pick up. Customer service was friendly and positive, we faced no issues. Likewise when returning the vehicle, they will do a similar drop-off service back at the terminal.

Managed to be assigned a VW Caravelle instead of a Ford. No complaints, the 2.0 turbo diesel people mover with DSG transmission went up steep slopes with no issues, and while it's long and tall (even longer than a Merc V250d), maneuverability wasn't an issue and it handled well.

The prices are reasonable and comparable to other businesses in the industry. The staff work quickly, and the transportation is efficient
