Most amazing geological feature I have ever stepped foot in. From epic steep canyon cliffs on gargantuan proportions to narrow, twisting paths through the smoothened rock, and ending with a difficult climb through a foreboding cave to get to the small waterfall at the end. What an experience. Be prepared to be soaked up till your waist from wading through the chilly waters.

Gorgeous gorge. Amazing place, very high while realy narrow. Quite similar to famous gorge in Sicily, but much less crowded

canyon is beauteous, breathtaking. Entrance is around 26 TRY adult AND 14 TRY children paid only cash. Beginning is crowded and water is extremely cold like 4 degrees Celsius, later is less and less tourists. At the and you will meet guides who offer a 3km tour for 30 euro per person. It’s worth to join them because they are hiding ropes to climb up… then you will need to squeeze on the heels! That’s an adventure!!! After that 3km there is more climbing and guides didn’t want to tour there….

After coming back we took a rafting (25 minutes for 200 TRY). Real fun! After all we chills in restaurant next to river. Definitely worth to go!

Saklikent Gorge, one of Europe's deepest canyons, and the ancient Tlos ruins, which provide breathtaking views of the surrounding area, are the main attractions of Saklikent Milli Parki. If you prefer to spend more time at the park, there are camping choices and guided day tours that make things simple.

For outdoor pursuits like hiking, rock climbing, and rafting, the summer months are ideal, but the spring and fall bring milder weather and less people. The town of Fethiye has eateries and souvenir shops close by where you may restock on groceries, clothing, and outdoor equipment for your excursion.

Great place. I highly recommend visiting it. Since it is a quite popular place, I recommend visiting during off season. Parking was problematic due to the crowds. In the beginning it was really crowded and hard to walk through the gorge with all the people there but the more you walk the less you’re stuck with other people. Just keep going if you have the energy.

Would definitely recommend visiting this place it’s a must with a unique experience.
There is parking available and free of charge.
The entrance fee is 25TL per person.
There’s plenty of places to eat and drink inside with your feet in the water!
The water is very cold but very refreshing in the hot weather!
Would recommend getting sea shoes before visiting this place so you can enjoy going in the water.
You can also walk through the canyon with amazing views.
This place is also dog friendly.

Exhilarating trekking in this natural gorge on the river. Children can trek up to a kilometre after which water gets too deep. Gorge trek guide recommended for stage 2 deep water trek. Get a good pair of water proof trek shoes and pack in water and protein bars if you plan the full length.

The canyon itself is magnificent!
A camping place is nearby : Inclusive Toilette Energy water and washing mashine

Don’t be afraid of the small street at beginning. It is stable broad and reliable afterwards

Memorable experience with spectacular views of the gorge. The entrance fee is very reasonable at 24 tl per person. Very well organised with parking available. Lots of shade in the afternoon when the weather is hot. The water was a great place to cool down although it was very cold water.

What a fun few hours if you come prepared. Come being prepared to get wet and perhaps a little dirty. Decent footwear - we wore water shoes which didn’t have great soles but we still managed. Make sure you have a full change of clothes back at the car (if you have one). You can go as far as you want to and turn around at any point. We reached the small unimpressive waterfall at the end and came back. It took us about 3.5 hours in total.
There are a few super eateries at the entrance. Have a wander. There are two car parks which both have eating areas. The one furthest away from the gorge entrance is slightly nicer than the closer one.
We were a group of 6 adults, 3 children aged 16, 14 & 10. Great adventuring for all.

This spot is definitely worth a stop. It was overcast so we only made it in as far as the restaurants inside the gorge. Apparently you can go further with a guide and a hard hat.

Gorgeous place and well worth the walk through the icy water into the gorge itself. At 23 TL entry, you cant complain

We were travelling to Saklikent Gorge from Ölüdeniz and the views on the way were spectacular.
Saklikent gorge has good parking facilities, and ticket prices are affordable.
Fascinating and breathtaking natural wonder, in some places difficult to climb, but gives an hour of pleasant shade.
Take a break to drink a turkish coffee after or raft down the turquoise blue River.

I would definitely recommend it.

A gorgeous canyon! At a few spots you need some climbing or help, and make sure to wear shoes that can become wet. After about a 30 minutes walk, enjoy a shower under the waterfall. When you return, take a dive in the ice cold water and have a drink at one of the nicely decorated restaurants

We really enjoyed our trip to the gorge - our advice for a trip is:

You definitely should use water shoes. We had these so didn’t rent the jelly shoes available around the entrance. You are wading through generally very shallow water a lot of the time.

Wear clothes that you are comfortable getting wet in.

The waist-high water you have to wade through to cross the stream not far from the beginning is mind-numbingly cold, but it’s only one short bit, the water you walk through after that is not particularly cold.

You will come to an a point which is difficult to get up, but doable. You’ll know when you are there because there are a load of guides offering to help you for a fee. We didn’t use a guide but many people do. If you can get up this bit, the next section up to the waterfall rest is much easier.

We arrived at 10am and it was not crowded. But on the return it was for people arriving - there was a queue at the difficult bit where the guides are. You’ll enjoy your visit far more if you arrive early.

This is one of greatest canyon in Turkey. Make sure you have sneakers on, even though they are selling shoes for walking, with the strong current in some places and slippery rocks, it might be bit challenging to hike. But don’t make this stop you, it is absolutely breath taking walking in the nature.

Definitely visit it if you like adrenaline rush and hiking. Very picturesque!
Take coral shoes with you, because you have to hike.
No supervision along the way though, so be careful

One of my favorite places in Turkey. The first time I came to Saklikent was in 2015 and today i came back. I could see there were a lot of positive changes such as The road, the safety around the canyon… Also, I saw a lot of cafes on the way to the canyon.
You have to pay an entrance fee which is 16TL and the only thing that I would recommend is not to go during the weekend because it will be so crowded.
