Barba Saranda

I had an amazing experience at Barba Saranda! The waiter provided excellent service, the barmen crafted delicious drinks, and special kudos to the owner, Dilara, for creating such a fantastic place. The ambience was also wonderful, adding to the overall enjoyment of the evening. Highly recommend the shrimp tempura, and every dish we tried was truly eye-opening. I can't wait to come back! A must-visit spot!"

This is a must destination when coming to Sögut. Just by the ocean with direct access if you want to take a swim (they have shower and toilett for changing). But of course the food is amaisingly tasteful and beautifully served. The atomsfere is wonderful and the staff and owner make you feel welcome (the owner also speaks perfect english for those who dont speak turkish.
I will defenatly return.

This is my first review! (Usually, I like to keep the places that I love a secret, and I only feel the impulse to write a review when I’ve had a particularly bad experience, so I just don’t.) This was my first time in Söğüt, and I came here as a solo woman traveler. I stopped into Barba Saranda for a sunset drink one night, and I didn’t leave until nearly midnight. Then I came back for dinner the next night and didn’t leave until late again. It is what you’d expect from a gastronomic restaurant — thoughtful dishes and craft cocktails prepared with care, attention to detail, and surprising flavors — but what I loved most was how cared for I felt while I was there. Not only did I befriend other patrons at the bar, but the staff were so kind and attentive. And, as other reviewers have mentioned, the charismatic owner Dilara made a point to welcome and engage with everyone there. For a place known to cater to Turkey’s elite, I might’ve been entirely out of place, but she, Ali behind the bar, and the staff gave me equal special treatment and were so, so warm to me. When you’re alone, and new to a place, that show of kindness really shapes your experience. It’s special — upscale but unpretentious — for its lovely food, atmosphere, and company.

Delicious food and best cocktails in town with amazing view near by the sea (you should definitely try the seafood fettuccine) ! Dilara is the most friendly and welcoming hostess ever. We were so happy and satisfied.

When I spoke with Dilara, the founder of Barba Saranda, a catalyst for the transformation of Sogut's destiny, I realized that impressive days await us. First, we need to delve into Sogut, an impressive and charming village located in the southwestern region of Marmaris. It boasts a stately cove with shimmering waters. However, it's important to note that since this is a village, proper preparation is essential. During our stay at Bi'oda Bi'balkon, I was truly taken by its charm, but I'd like to focus more on Barba Saranda.

Having traveled to numerous cities in Turkey and abroad and having dined at many luxury restaurants, some even awarded Michelin Stars, I can confidently say that Barba Saranda surpasses them all in beauty. Its striking ambiance is complemented by a stylish design and the invigorating scent of the sea. The menu features authentic Mediterranean Cuisine, and Chef Goksel Gokcedogan crafts truly extraordinary dishes. He is not only a chef but also a magician in the kitchen. I've never tasted shrimp quite like the ones here. your eyes might deceive you, but your taste buds certainly won't. A visit to Barba Saranda is a must.

Ali Ahmadi is a unique individual who can engage you in conversations about Farabi while you savor the heavenly cocktails expertly crafted by Al Ahmadi. Lastly, I extend my gratitude to the entire staff at Barba Saranda. A visit here will undoubtedly prove to be completely worthwhile

Barba saranda is a very special place in Sögut village for travelers who look for a cozy yet delicious dinner. Waiters are very welcoming and polite. The atmosphere is magical. The little shop is full of egzotic souvenirs. The rooms are clean and very comfortable at the heart of the village. Only 10 mt. from the sea. You jump in the sea instead of washing yor face in the morning. I saved the best for the last which is the ice cream! Try at least 3 flavors! You won’t regret it!

The establishment has a great bay view and the owner has an amazing art shop that everyone should check it out.

The owner is very nice. We were interested about the local history and the owner explained it very well to us in English.

The cheese burger is a must try, fresh and tasty. You may not find it on the menu that you bend to the owner.

If you come to this area, this place is a must for visit.

It has one of the best food menus I have eaten in Turkey. They are very good in taste, service and hospitality. The bar menu is varied, they have a very entertaining bartenders. Thank you for providing such a place.

Me and my husband had a fantastic 2 nights stay at Barba Saranda - Bi Oda Bi Balkon

We stayed at their gorgeous terrace room. It’s been one of the best decorated rooms I’ve ever stayed at. Terrace is huge and overlooking the sea. They also have netflix so we enjoyed lots of episodes of friends with my husband.

They also own the restaurant downstairs by the sea and you can sunbath at their sun loungers. Food at their restaurant is delicious and service is great! Saganaki, marinated tomato salad and crayfish are must haves!

If you’re looking for a great place to stay at a calm Aegean village, this is the place to go.

If you come to Sogut, Barba Saranda is one of the best places you should definitely stop by. Taste the great food, drink amazing cocktails and enjoy the spectacular view, at the end of the night you should definetly try forest fruit and datca almond ice cream made from goat's milk, and don't leave Barba Saranda without checking out Dilara's store, which consists entirely of designer products. Beautiful place that has the most charming atmosphere and tastiest food, with best view ever. If you are looking for a place to unwind, relax and connect wirh the sea and sky, then this is your place. Don't forget Dilara, the most amazing owner of Baraba Saranda restaurant and bi oda bi balcony concept.

Had a lovely dinner with 2 perfect sushis and seafood fettucine. Plus, Ms. Dilara, owner of the restaurant was a super-host. She was very much interesting to chat in person and of course welcomed us in a very sweet way, so that we promised to re-visit them in our next trip to Sogut. Just to let you know, you should be here at sunset time- to see the perfect sun-down across the sea and mountains. It was 7.30 ish when I was there, just check out the exact timing of yours before going. It is one of the best sunsets I have seen in my Marmaris vacation. Perfect spot definitely! Lastly, the ambiance was super cool regarding the other restaurants around. If you wanna have a decent dinner at a comfy and super-stylish place, this is a perfect match for you.

Lovely restaurant with very friendly, polite and warm hearted staff. A special thanks goes out to Dilara, the owner, who greeted us personally and explained everything to us. We had a degustation surprise menu with local food and specialties. Everything tasted wonderful, the flavors were perfectly balanced and the food well spiced.
The icing on the cake is the wonderful atmosphere and location of the restaurant. Located right at the shore, you can enjoy your day/evening, listening to the waves of the ocean and enjoy the stunning view over the Saranda bay with a beautiful sunset at night.
The Barba Saranda is an absolutely recommendation to everybody visiting Sögüt.
