Beautiful and definitely if in the area, it is worth the trip up.
Short 3 minute cable car ride, but beautiful views and ruins to admire and appreciate the history.

Alittle cool temperature wise with it quite high up.

Enjoy !

Very cool how this was the very first known medical practice of using music for psychotherapy. It still has running water that you can see and hear for relaxation treatment. They even had a mud bath spa and if you're lucky you'll get to meet the puppies!

Amazing, breathtaking experience! We never expected the huge scope of this ruin. It is an absolute MUST-visit. Some advice though.....rather drive up yourself if you can and cut out the separate, unnecessary cost of the cable car. Unless you want to specifically do the cable car as well. We thoroughly enjoyed walking through this attraction. You can also take the cable car to the top and then meander your way down, if you are wearing the shoes for it. There is more to see along the route down.

Very scenic! Bring your walking shoes! Extremely uneven walking surfaces in these city ruins but makes for great photo opportunities. This place is a photographer’s dream come true.

Amazing historical site to visit. You can either drive all the way up to the site or take a cart lift to the top. The views from the cart lift are really beautiful.

You'll need to take a cable car from the lower station up to the Akropolis. Sitting atop are the ruins of Akropolis. Best to have a tour guide with you to explain the rich history behind this ancient city. Expect to spend around 1hr here.

A very impressive and dramatic Acropolis on top of a steep sided hill. We ascended the hill with the van but a cable car alternative is available. The most prominent building is the “Temple of Trajan” a huge marble temple. Other significant buildings have been partially re-constructed – Temple of Athena, the library, a theatre etc. It is certainly a very impressive place to visit.

Akropolis was one of my favorite places I visited in Turkey. The ruins and the view are beautiful and meaningful, especially when you know the history. You should visit it.

Stunning view of historical Bergama city. Old theater, statues are great to see. You can also see the new town from the top. The price for the lift to the top is 35 tl for 2019. For entrance museumcard or museumpasses are valid.

We enjoyed very much the visit, taking the cable car up to the mountain and taking a time to rest at the Coffee shop at the site.

This site rises high above the Bakirçay Plain in Turkey’s Aegean region. The acropolis of Pergamon was the capital of the Hellenistic Attalid dynasty, a major centre of learning in the ancient world. Monumental temples, theatres, stoa or porticoes, gymnasium, altar and library were set into the sloping terrain surrounded by an extensive city wall. The rock-cut Kybele Sanctuary lies to the north-west on another hill visually linked to the acropolis. Later the city became capital of the Roman province of Asia known for its Asclepieion healing centre. The acropolis crowns a landscape containing burial mounds and remains of the Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman empires in and around the modern town of Bergama on the lower slopes

Ancient city located on top of a hill. If you are in the area, a definite must see. Admission was 25 lira (2018) but is well worth it.

Take the (German) audio guide. It’s well done and guides you through the ruins.
There’s a lovely doggo that will accompany you along the way. Make sure to get some snacks for him beforehand as he’s quite thin and hungry.

You need muzekart to get in. Accessible via car to the top, or you can take cable car. The stadium is still intact. The akropolis has the whole city view. Must visit.

A utterly magnificent site being on the top of a large steep hill , with a panoramic 360° view and a helpful cable car ! Displays mind-blowing technical architectural skills merely to build on the site and has the remnants of what must have been a splendid temple complex... besides other feats such as obtaining water and wonderful alter sites it has the steepest theater complex I have encountered.....
