Pirin Ancient City

Very large complex of rock tombs in an ancient quarry. They are still in process of excavating. Very nice place to walk around and not very busy. Definitely recommend to stop by when passing through Adıyaman.

It's on the must list if you are on the road Nemrut. Incredibly huge ancient city from Persian to Romans. A lot of cave tombs. Don't forget sunglasses and sunscreen. If you come summer don't recommend at noon time due to extreme hot condition. You can watch an information video about the place in the museum shop while you are drinking cold-water or ice cream.

15 TL entry, not busy, very large site and you can wander at your leisure. Some informative signs in Turkish and English. The quarry was very cool to see. It is only 4-5 km from Adiyaman city center. If you happen to be in Adiyaman, this is a must-see.

The city is still unexcavated so there is a lot more to see.

Unexpected interesting, with animals children and friendly people in their own strange way.

A combination of an ancient necropolis and quarry. Known history of the area includes the Kingdom of Commagene and the Roman period.

Many rock tombs are available for inspection as well as work areas with descriptions of processes used.

It is a very big site where only a small section is actually opened up.

Well worthwhile a stop.

I had pleasant walk here, without many tourists, admiring the landscape. Bus#1, from city center, took me directly to the sight by its terminal.
Entrance is 7TL.

Perre Antik Kenti'nde hâlâ devam eden kazı çalışmaları sırasında girişte kimseyle karşılaşmadık. Elimizi kolumuzu sallayarak girdik. Kimse nereye diye sormadi. Ucret ödemek istedik çıkışta girişte bulunan müze kafe de görevliye rastladik. Müze Cafe oldukça bakımsız durumda ve gelen turistlere tanıtım filmi izlettiriliyor. Bilgilendirme amaçlı broşür veya benzeri materyaller bulunmuyor. Ülkem insanın ayni gerizekali davranışlarını burada da görüyorsunuz sprey boya ile eserlerin uzerine yazi yazmışlar. Ne diyelim eşsek hoşaftan ne anlar?

Agosto 2023. L'antica città di Perrin. Un sito archeologico che merita assolutamente di essere visitato. È enorme e non c'è un filo d'ombra. Acqua e protezione per la testa, mi raccomando.

Müze kartı geçerli.
