While planning your visit here, you should remember that it is a huge area and the distance among the ruins is long. You will have to walk long so, definitely take some water with you. Although there are seats in the shade for resting, you will be walking in the sun most of the time. This is why you may consider visiting it when the sun isn't that strong. P.S. The employee at the entrance wasn't very kind but hopefully, you will meet a more friendly one.

The most lovely thing there was the buque of olive trees around every of which more then 100 years old. I enjoyed it. To walk all the place you will need around 50-60 min especially if is very hot

Worth a visit if you are near the area. You can spend enjoyable 1 hr amongst ancient ruins and thousand year old olive trees and bird chirpings.

If you’re interested in beautiful walks in nature, history and ancient olive trees, I highly recommend a visit to Teos. You will hardly see any completed structures, you mainly see ruins sprinkled around the site but it is a great outdoor walk for families. It’s not super stroller friendly, while it is possible, I’d leave the stroller in the car. There is a bathroom at the visitor center and there is plenty of parking. Difficult to arrive in public transportation.

Another lovely city of Ionian League. The sad part is there is nothing to see except a little bit of theatre and government building. A lot of ruins and huge olive trees. Easily you can spend 2 hours. Almost all of the ancient city needs restoration here. I wish the government spent some money for this! That’s a huge opportunity for global tourism.

Nice Ionian harbour city very close to Sığacık. Not too many standing ruins. But it is worth to see. Also don't miss the monumental olive tree and more century old olive trees around.

The Theos archeological site is a good place to visit if you can connect it with other programs in the area. To be honest there are other archeological sites in the area that show you more, but the unique thing that you see here is a 3000 (not mistake) years old olive tree. One very much appreciated thing was that the cashier spoke English and recommended us an optimal route to follow.
There's a public transport bus that goes to the site, but I didn't memorised the number. The Theos harbour on the way is really beautiful.
Take sun protection if you go in summer.

A wonderful collection of ancient ruins. In different states of restoration. All against a most impressive Mediterranean background, ancient olives, seascape with remote mountains and, of course, an ancient air between 8th BC and 1st AD

Tlos is the oldest and one of the most important religious centres of ancient Lycian times in the Mugla Province of southern Turkey. The town dates back to 2000 BC and was subsequently inhabited by Romans, Persians, Byzantines, Greeks and eventually Ottoman Turks, making it one of few Lycian cities to be continually inhabited up until the 19th century.

It is known as the city where the mythological hero Bellerophon and his winged flying horse Pegasus lived. Tlos was one of the six principal cities of Lycia and under the reign of the Roman Empire it was known as ‘the very brilliant metropolis of the Lycian nation’.

FYI: The Lycians were an ancient people who inhabited the area of present day Turkey between the bays of Antalya and Fethiye, a compact, mountainous territory.

Teos Ancient City is located in Seferihisar town of Izmir province. Founded in 1050-1000 BC, Teos was one of the 12 cities in Antique Ionia.

The Temple of Dionysus was originally built by Hermogenes from Priene in 2nd century BC. It is the largest of the temples built in the name of Dionysus in Anatolia. The temple was constantly repaired during the Roman Empire, but damaged by earthquakes.

Teos Ancient City consists of the Hellenistic city walls, antique theatre, acropolis, agora, odeon, bouleuterion, cistern, gymnasium, the remains of the ancient southern port and a small church built on the pier.

Beautiful ancient city ruins. You can enter using your museum pass and it takes about an hour to walk through the entire area. Surrounded by lots of olive trees. When we were there, most people had come to collect olives from the trees. Even then, there weren't many people at all. Great place to relax and there are benches scattered around where you can sit and rest.

Small but interesting settlement. The senate building and the Dionysus Temples were the best preserved pieces.

You should probably visit this place before you see Ephesus because it might not be very impressive if you’ve seen Ephesus.

Sığacık (the town surrounding Teos) was cute and it had many coves and bays for swimming, so it wouldn’t hurt to bring your swimwear and some towels.

I recommend taking a hat with you and bug repellent spray. You should also watch where you step because there are animal excrements all over the walk-paths.
