It was a very nice experience to visit the mosque. The most had a totally different architecture from the usual ottoman architecture mosques. It had Arab influence in its architecture. The lake with fishes beside the mosque gives a very soothing feel. And there are people who sell food for the fish which is very cheap , you can just buy and feed the fishes in the lake too.

Nice place in the middle of downtown Urfa right beside an old bazaar. Seems like this is one of locals' favorite place to hangout with their families.

There's a park surrounding the ponds and the mosque adorned with shaded trees. Such a nice place to walk and we found it's enjoyable to feed the fishes. One tiny can of fish food is 5TL.

There is a story behind this beautiful Fish lake. Very peaceful place with a huge pool of fish, you can feed them. You have to see and feel it. June is already hot for a travel.

This is a must visit attraction when in Sanliurfa. Beautiful park with many small cafes and restaurants, but the main attraction is feeding the sacred fish as it is believed that this is the very place where Nemrod tried to burn prophet Abraham but the the fire turned into water and the firewood turned into these black (almost coal colluded) fish. It’s such a beautiful and spiritual place where you can feel the positive energy. Also try to visit in the evening time too when the lights turn on and everything looks even more beautiful.

A fish pond that is said to have been the site of a miracle.
It is said that this was the spot where Abraham was put on a pyre by King Nimrod. A miracle occurred and the fire turned into a pool of water and the wood, or the flames, turned into fish. The descendants of the fish are well fed by the pilgrims and it is a peaceful spot despite being so busy.
