Holiday Inn Istanbul City, an IHG Hotel

A very central place. Right opposite the Metro station which is a boon in Istanbul city.Friendly staff ready to help and serve.Property is well kept .
I recommend to use their in room dining which is value for money and the portion they serve is sufficient for two.I had ordered Tomato Walnut Salad and Chicken Shish Kebab. The quantity was more than sufficient.Breakfast are spread us slightly weak when compared to other Holiday Inn properties world wide. There is reposition of the menu which should be looked into.The public areas are immaculately clean.

Not a five star hotel but pretty close. Couldn’t ask for a better location, the facilities are great, and staff is super helpful. Room needs to be updated and the bed isn’t that comfortable. With that said, it’s a great value and I would recommend.

Very comfortable hotel in a great location in Istanbul. Good bed, powerful shower and very quiet room.

Close to many small restaurants and a Carrefour mini supermarket, and the tram stop to the tourist sites of Istanbul is outside.

Which means you can be at the Hagia Sophia in a little over 15 minutes with its huge crowds, but return to the calmness and quiet of the Fatih district on a tram departing every 2 minutes.

Best location , near by the tramway to go to Istanbul center . Clean helpful people at the front disk very pleasant stay and comfortable sleep for two days . Love it & hardly recommend it . Thanks a lot for the best manager for his kind service.

This hotel is conveniently located from all shops and right across the street from the train station to see all the iconic things you would want to see in Istanbul. The breakfast has a good choice of food. I was here at the end of March so the pool is closed for their winter, but no biggie. Lots of other things go to do and see.

Amazing people working at this Holiday Inn location. Best staff at the front desk, house keeping and at bar everyone was THE BEST; especially Meulet, Neset, Akin, Esengul and omar! This is my second time at this location and nothing has changed when it comes to customer service 😊 always above and beyond!

It’s one of the old 5 stars hotels in Fatih district. It’s easy to go wherever you want in Istanbul as the Tramway station is exactly in front of the hotel, you can also go toFatih Mosque on foot.
By Tramway you can visit the Blue Mosque, Hajya Sofia and Top kapi in less than 10 minutes, and the golden golf in 15 minutes.
The hotel has a good environment, nice staff and reasonable room rate .
I liked the pool inside.

The staff was great. The breakfast was amazing. The room was clean. It's about 10 mins by car from the main attractions.

The hotel was very clean and safe, and the service was superb. But as club members we expected to get a room with a better view. You will find many restaurants if you walk a few miles.

Very nice hotel and friendly helpful staff. Tram right in front of it and 3 minutes walk to bus, all transportation. Will get you where you need to go. Bus will take 20 minutes to taksim, tram 40 minutes to taksim but will take you to aksaray and biyazit, where you will find highest exchange rates, and will get you straight ro sultanahmet blue mosque and Aya sofa. Enjoyed the stay, thank you so much for your hospitality.

Staff with heart

My sister & I stayed at this hotel at 2 different times.

The first time there were some things that disappointed, like a not clean room, bathroom, daily coffee & tea not replenished. I wrote to the manager letting them know we had another stay & needed those issues sorted.

On our second stay, we had an incredible guest experience. The manager Ali Riza provided a complementary breakfast to make up for our prior experience. He was attentive to our needs & when clothes still had stains after the hotel drycleaning, he waived the fee.

The gem of our stay was Serdar, who is incredibly attentive to customers. It was a busy time, but he took time to take down our luggage. As it was raining i requested an umbrella( earlier the concierge had refused). But not only did Serdar place our luggage in the cab while juggling his other duties with equal attention, but he also managed to find an umbrella for us. Proving where there is a will, there's a way.

His service didn't end there. I forgot my phone charger in the room. The hotel informed me that UPS charge was 50 euro which was beyond my budget. I requested the manager ask Serdar to drop it off at my friend's place after work.

By the time we arrived in London, my friend in istanbul posted a pix of the charger that Serdar took to her. I was blown away by the speed of his fulfiling my request.

When I contacted him, he said he took a cab to get to her place & wouldn't hear of taking money from me.

I will definitely hope to find a way to support him back like he did with me.

As women travelers who don't speak turkish, this sort of caring, family attitude - of staff like Serdar who I now see as my brother makes us feel warmly welcomed. I have no words for the kind way in which he helped us without any expectation.

I have traveled around the world in the best hotels . I can confidently say that serdar's service is the best i have ever experienced..

I hope the hotel sees the immense value Serdar brings with his presence, providing travelers the true meaning of hotel hospitality, a home away from home.

I am staying at this hotel these days. I am happy with the experience so far. Oguz, the receptionist, is very nice, helpful and speaks good English! The breafast is really good and the staff at the restaurant are ready to help at any time. The location of the hotel is great! The tram and bus stations are just outside the hotel!
A nice gift, some nice cakes, was sent to our room after our smooth and fast check-in.

I stayed in this beautiful hotel 8 nights, everything was amazing, very clean rooms and friendly staff, they helped me out with everything. I really enjoyed the breakfast everyday in the morning great food. highly recommend

We were not staying here but looking for somewhere to have a drink and a light supper. They could not have been more welcoming. Mevlut and Neset looked after us and gave us excellent care and service.
We were really impressed and next time in Istanbul would choose the Holiday Inn.

Great hotel!!! One of the best options in Istanbul!!! This is the 2nd time I stay in this hotel, first time was in 2017, and both occasions, the staff has been great with me, they gave me access to bigger room, the cleaning service was great, everything super clean and organized, I really appreciate it, the amenities are complete, in some places the hotel just give you enough shampoo and soap for 1 person and that's it, but in this one they give u all you need.... the location is great, just 15 min from the Old City using train in Pazartekke and a Carrefour is nearby for groceries. Without a doubt my next stay in Turkiye will be there, great value, super friendly staff, everything was so clean and organized, you can't really ask for more, a great option in Istanbul.

Location Tram 1 Pazartekke Stop is right in front of the hotel. It will be easy to go to most important sites. It has parking spaces right in front so it's very convenient for shuttle or taxi drop off and pick up. We don't have to walk uphill and downhill going out and back to the hotel unlike in the tourist areas. Eateries, Carrefour across the street and other markets are all nearby.
Our room was clean. Songul our housekeeping lady was excellent. She didn't knock at our door for the 9 days we stayed there. We gave her instructions when to clean our room and she waited until we leave the room. We got ample supplies of coffee and tea pockets etc. and toiletries. Our room was very quiet on the top floor facing the pool. Request this side of the hotel if possible.
We had a problem during check in. Fahri could not find our reservation and told us several times that it was cancelled. We were surprised why cancelled when we already paid for 9 nights. There's a big problem with Holiday Inn Group website where they cancelled it without my knowledge. They corrected it after I found out 3 days after we booked. But there was still a problem when we checked in.
Good Ergon told Fahri to look under my name. He communicated with somebody from Holiday Inn Office. Finally we got the room. Thanks he upgraded us to a bigger room.

Employees are ready to help when asked. Employee in my picture when we checked out was really very helpful. It was the first time I saw him there. When our shuttle pick up arrived he left the counter and helped us with our suitcases.
We did not have breakfast in the hotel. I could not comment on that. Pool was closed during fall and winter seasons. They have a spa.
We enjoyed our stay in Holiday Inn Turgot Ozal Fatih location. We did not regret staying there.

The only problem is the rooms are fairly small but it is not such a problem !!

Very clean and cozy rooms. The quality that just meets your expectations. Very close to public transport and easy to get to all the attractions. Very broad breakfast with fresh omelette.
