Lovely charcoal grilled food, service was great! Lots of recommendations of things to do in the area and super friendly! Definitely stop for a bite to eat, won't be disappointed.

Great food from a friendly, multilingual host. We had mixed skewers of beef and chicken with fries seasoned with cumin. It was delicious! A nice Tunisien salad and good bread. Goes without saying, the view was superb!

Not as touristy a restaurant as it looks. The owner and the staff are very nice and attentive.

The food is very good and not too expensive. Beef and chicken were nicely done (they ask how you want it), unlike overcooked meat I've had elsewhere in Tunisia.

Probably our must fun meal in Tunisia so far. The owner is hilarious and very welcoming. The view of the ampitheater is spectacular and the food is cooked on a grill in front of you. We were able to park directly in front of the restaurant and leave the car there while we toured El Jem. Highly recommend!

Highly recommended! The reviews all talk about how the owner is a very warm and friendly man who speaks many languages and it is true. He makes this place excellent. He happily catered to us as vegetarians - we had a delicious lunch of Berber salad with bread, fries, more salad and vegetable kebabs. Later in the afternoon, we discovered there were no luages going to Sousse, which we had been relying on because there were no trains. We came back to the restaurant to ask for advice and the owner went above and beyond, calling someone he knew who agreed to drive us to Sousse privately at no notice. We’re so grateful and can’t recommend this restaurant enough! Don’t go anywhere else in El Jem!

Excellent food and service. The guys were really nice and friendly. One of the guys spoke really good Spanish and Italian. The food was great. The skewers were delicious.

We stopped by Mr. Nawfel Zid's restaurant because he is a very pleasant man who did all he could to serve us. The food was fresh and tasted very good. The toilets were clean with paper for you to use. The whole place was above average for being clean too. The view of the Colosseum was right in front of us as we faced north and the Colosseum was illuminated by the Sun. I think that Nawfel and his happy attitude was great when his competitors are no as nice. I say choose this restaurant to eat and take in one of the best sights in all of Tunisia.
