Scale is not sufficient to be able to fully reflect the level of excellence of this place. Food is divine, service is super friendly and the ambiance of the building itself only adds to the taste. I am so, so, sooo sorry that I wasn't super hungry and didn't eat way more. It's my ❤ place for food in Kairouan.

Restaurant located inside a remodeled charming old house with a courtyard. The place still retains the old charm as much as possible. The food was on point. Had a brik to start with, which was thin and crispy outside with perfectly runny egg inside. The brik was followed by some hot hlalem. And then there was the main course of couscous with lamb osban (organs wrapped in intestine). Osban has a delicate flavor and is bit if an acquired taste. The one in this restaurant was really flavorful that soaked up all the spices to the right amount. And like all other places the meal ended with seasonal fruits and mint tea.

I was so pleasantly surprised! We were in one of the rooms with only 3 tables, such a warm ambiance! It is beautiful old tunisian house decor with ceramic tiles and decorated ceiling. Hosts were so welcoming, kind, and food was really good! I would warmly recommend it to everyone.

The service and food was incredible. They were extremely generous and accommodating . The restaurant is beautiful and ornate. We very much enjoyed when the owner showed us around the old house. They also have the nicest bathrooms in town.

Excellent service. Good food. A good place for dining after visiting the mosque.

I was pleasantly surprised at this fine dining restaurant existing in Kairouan. Not only was service on point, but the beautiful rooms lent a pleasant atmosphere to enjoy the food.

The owner also came over, smiled at me, and asked me how everything was.

I would highly recommend to anyone traveling through Kairouan who wants a more elevated experience for dining.

Very reasonable price considering the quietness and the charm of the place and before that the food taste is a 5 star.

We are a couple visiting Tunisia for the first time. We arrived today afternoon to the restaurant 10 minitues before kitchen was closed, but the manager and the staff both welcome us with a smile and kind gesture.
This Dar is very old, oriantal, and beautifully decorated. The manager took us around inca tour and allowed us to take as many photos as we want.. She was so warm and kind.
The food was a exquisite and the service was excellent!! 5/5 and more ⭐!

I went last night and the food and the atmosphere are great. The Chicken was moist and tender, the cinnamon in the spices was perfectly balanced, some of the best strawberry ice cream ever.

The very very best Tunisian food and atmosphere!!! The house is warm, calm and charming.. A great experience we had definitely.!

Nice restaurant in a beautiful traditional house in the Medina of Kairouan.

Juste Wahou! La cuisine était EXCELLENTE j’ai rarement mangé un plat aussi bon… le marqua loua (poulet aux amendes et abricots) était juste un délice gustatif! L’environnement vous plonge dans une atmosphère hors du temps. Le personnel est très à l’écoute et d’une immense gentillesse. Si vous souhaitez vous régaler et garder un souvenir inoubliable allez y.

De nouveau de retour dans ce restaurant après ma première visite d'il y a 4 ans : excellente adresse. Décor authentique, repas traditionnels et savoureux, de la bonne gastronomie tunisienne. Accueil chaleureux également de la part du propriétaire, service efficace. Pour moi c'est un incontournable de Kairaouan.

Restaurant de style typiquement arabo-musulman, une architecture et une décoration impeccable, un service très rapide et attentionné, des mets très raffinés sortis des terroirs traditionnels.
Les propriétaires très accueillants,veillent au petit grain.
En définitive, une adresse à recommander sans hésitation, vous ne sortirez que satisfaits. 5/5

Restaurant authentique, architecture et décor d'une maison typique des gouverneurs de Kairouan. Carte assez variée, plats copieux et délicieux.
Le restaurant n'ouvre qu'à 19h, mais nous avons été accueillis avec un thé à 18h15 et nous avons pu profiter du patio.
Le service était au top. Tout le personnel était chaleureux et souriant. Nous avons même visité la cuisine et dis bonjour à la cheffe et son sous-chef.
Seul bémol, c'était un peu trop piquant à notre goût.
Nous vous souhaitons bonne continuation et quand on repassera par Kairouan, nous reviendrons.
