Le Vimarn Cottages & Spa

This resort is truly amazing. Super friendly staff who really care about their guests. We have the premiere hillside room with an amazing sea view. Get their speedboat service, it will bring you to the island in 7 minutes. Breakfast was also good with enough options. Definitely would come back here.

We really had some beautiful, tropical days at the Le Vimarn with a very friendly staff, huge cottages and a beautiful beach, crystal clear water, corals on the left side of the bay and a cozy poolside with delicious snacks and nice drinks.

The very two small critical points are that there is only one pool for everybody and unfortunately, even when the diving and jumping in the pool is official forbidden by a huge sign at the pool area - kids jump inside, splash water, throw balls and scream the whole day long. This is due to disrespectful, incapable parents who cannot educate their minors properly, but in the other hand the staff around the pool who don’t intervene this bad behavior. I didn’t say anything to them - that’s not my job, that should be clearly communicated to the kids and their uncaring parents by the staff. I was really wondering why these families just didn’t went to the beach for doing there their noisy and annoying wet games. No one would carry - it’s a beach, but not a poolside where hard working people just want to calm down and relax for some days 🤷🏼‍♂ I also was wondering how it feels like when booking a massage at the pool, while having splashing and screaming kids direct behind you - very satisfying… not! Definately the reason why we didn’t booked a massage here.

For this it would be too nice if there would be another poolside, just to relax and calm down for adults only. Or even better, suits or villas with a private pool you would be able to upgrade to.

The second point is, why there are no beach chairs or a cozy outdoor couch on your own terrace… even cushions are missing on the two wooden, hard chairs on your terrace. It would be easy to make it more cozy and nice.

But it is how it is and like I told it, it was worth all the way and of course I will highly recommend you to friends and family… with or without kids 😅

Gorgeous little beach retreat. Superbly efficiently run Le Vimarn… from arrival at the plush, modern private pier lounge. 10m speed boat transfer and you’re on the beach & cottages overlooking the bay. Just loved it. Staff were superb. Cottages well desigbed and attention to detail. We enjoyed the local food at Breeze and Buzz and O (more than the western options.)
Fabulous sunsets. A place to return to hopefully!

One point could be improved:

If you are a vegetarian and don't like pizza and pasta (that's why we come to Thailand) you will unfortunately have difficulties in the two hotel restaurants as the selection is very small. After a day you ate everything and have to go outside for lunch and dinner. It would be nice if the selection of vegetarian Thai food dishes were larger!

Great resort located on the quieter Prao beach. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. We dined at the Italian restaurant most nights and it was great. They offered 3 menus, Thai, Italian and Western (hamburgers etc.)

In the mornings the staff go to the beach and pick up plastics that washed up during high tide. This really impressed me. The beach is pristine and offer enough waves to boogie board.

Make sure to pack everything as it is quite pricy to grab a taxi from the resort to “town” if you need to get something that the resort don’t offer.

We used the spa facilities and this also gets a huge thumbs up

We recently enjoyed a stay at the resort. The facilities, staff & location are absolutely wonderful. They made every attempt to be sure each detail of our stay was taken care of, which it was & then some! The beach is as good as it gets. The other side of the island has a bit more "activity", but if you are looking for a more relaxed spot to be, we recommend here (you can get to the other side by a 5 minute, inexpensive taxi ride if/when need be). Thanks to everyone at the resort, we can't wait to come back!

It’s a beautiful place. We loved our stay in this hotel. It’s a paradise. Service was amazing. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. We spent 8 days and we enjoyed every single minute. Breakfast was very delicious. Especially, lady Chompoo was taking always extra care of us. She was very kind and nice. I highly recommend this place to everyone. It was unforgettable time!!!! A beautiful Hotel with excellent service, glutenfree friendly. Definitely a place to come back. Thank you so much you let use relaxed here and feels like home.

Fabulous spot at Ao Phrao on Koh Samet.
Relaxing, staff very engaged, very refreshing pool (not always the case temp wise in Thailand!)
Only quirk is the sharing of facilities between Le Vimarn and Ao Phrao resort means SUP and kayaks etc all only available down at other resort. But it’s not far.

We came here for small vacation with big group of Family, young kids.
Even though they promote that they are a destination for a couple, but surprisingly the hotel and service is incredible for our group of family.
The staff is amazing, they try to make the best for comfort the us.
The room is charming like a private villa and the housekeeping clean it perfectly.. They also have a mosquitoes net attached on the bed. Our kids is love it :)

It was an amazing stay for 2 nights together with 5 other families and their kids. The location is perfect and offers utterly and serene atmosphere as this is a secluded part of the island with 2 neighboring resorts. Facilities and the resort is upkeep plus rooms are spacious. Food is tasty from their two restaurants (Thai and Italian) which offers good selections on a relatively fair price. Quite smooth services from booking, boat transfers, check in and check out.

I was looking for a place not far from Bangkok for my vacation. Ultimately, I found a Koh Samet, very famous locally, and booked this hotel on a beautiful Ao Prao beach. Spend four days and three nights happy holiday here, not far from Bangkok. I like that this is not a very large-scale hotel, the density is not too high, and there are fewer rooms. And the hotel facilities are very close to the distance from the beach and the rooms. I spent a leisurely holiday here, and the staff are also excellent. I want to thank them for their efforts and gratitude for my journey.

Quiet location. The ferry port and the main street are on the other side of the island. There are no loud bars or anything like that nearby. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Good services.
The accommodation was nice and clean.
The pool area is ok. Nice sea view. The beach was right next to the hotel. Hotel guests receive a free sun lounger and towel on the beach.

Spent 9 nights here for a short vacation, location is great, nice and clean rooms, friendly and service minded staff. Nice with several restaurants nearby if you still need more super easy to grab a taxi or rent a motorbike to go to another place on the island.

I spent 3 days there… from the beginning to the end, everything was perfect
- At the pier, the hotel has its own reception and parking… extremely well organized!
- the room was very specious and very clean
- the F&B was top as well (except maybe the lunch we had at Ao Prao resort… which is the same network than Le Vimarn)
- the staff was perfect: a lot of trainees with very food attitude

Wonderful stay at beautiful Le Vimarn. I love the private speedboat transfer from Ao Prao Pier, landing in front of the resort. We spent time at the pool & breachfront, ordering fruity shakes & delicious snacks. The Italian food at "O" restaurants is fantastic, highly recommended.

Great place, peaceful, nice beach, during wet season the boat does not always dock at the hotel due to waves. Great staff, garden, pool - and good massages at the spa!

Nice & comfy cottage house. We had spent 2 nights here. Just stayed at the resort, enjoyed the ocean, pool & spa was already good enough for us! Several good restaurants you can choose from for lunch & dinner inside the resort. Don’t miss the Seafood BBQ dinner & the iconic Fire Performance!

We stayed a couple of nights at this beautiful boutique resort. Le Vimarn Cottages & Spa has a small collection of roomy bungalow villas just above the beach with panoramic sea views and all the amenities, including a surprisingly fast Internet connection!

By the large pool are a dozen parasol sun beds, a sala with two massage mattresses and a few steps from there, a small, but well-equipped gym with an amazing view of the sea below.

Special mention for the resort's friendly and kind staff and the excellent breakfast buffet.

The number one reason to visit Koh Samet is that the island is so conveniently close to Bangkok. Within just a couple of hours after breakfast in the capital, you could be relaxing on a gorgeous paradise beach, happily sipping on a fruity drink under a palm tree – or, enjoying a relaxing seaside massage.

Koh Samet is a long-running favorite weekend getaway among Bangkokians, both Thai and with the city’s large expat community. Ao Phrao is one of the island’s calmer beaches and a perfect choice for winding down, filling your lungs with fresh air and appreciating a genuine relaxed atmosphere.

Though not ideal for long beach walks, you can easily go for a nice stroll along the main road where traffic is light.

Perfect for vocation, its location at the west coast of Koh Samet. Far away from the main street and busy area. Suggest that you can stay here for 2 nights to enjoy the vibe. And their Spa is so good at a reasonable price, you must try.
