Thung Prong Thong (Golden Meadow)

This place is simply magnificent. So quiet, and peaceful. The trees look almost unreal. For victors there is a wooden paved way, so you won't have to get dirty to walk around. To go back take a tricycle at the end of the way.

Great place to have an adventure walk in nature.
The boat ride is great as well.
The rickety wooden bridge adds an element of danger.

Amazing place. I have never seen nature like this before. Boat ride was also nice, with all the small lizards swimming around. Boat ride was also quite cheap. Walkways to go to nice view spots in the mangrove forest. Recommend.

A good idea for spending your weekend outside Bangkok

It only takes 3 hours from BKK and you will see another angle of Thailand.

If you love nature, this is the must visit place in the area.
They kept it very well.

Beautiful place, Well clean surrounded by nature connect to the sea.
Take about 1.5-2hour to finish the whole route. Starting and ending place is not the same place. You can took boat back or local "Songthaew" motorcycle with 2 seated.

If you take young kids to this place, you need to watch out the wooden floor and no fence to protect from falling.

This was a nice mangrove to visit. It's quite nice to talk a stroll using the walkway through the mangrove and its an interesting vegetation. One of the footpahts leads out to a viewing area with a platform for a scenic view of the area. Dr. Thai Excellence Mobile awards it 5 stars!

Great place to take about an hour walk through a well laid path in a forest of high trees and sporadic views of the sea. Cool breeze even on a hot day.

Total path is about 2.7km take about 2-2.30hrs by walking. The temple and the tree place is near by the entrance but the big ship is in the other side of the sea. Can go there by walking or taking boat( 60/pax). 5/pax by motorbike back to parking

Cool walk. Up to 3 km in one direction through shadowed " jungle ".
Afterwards back with the motorbike. Return also available with a boat or vice versa.

There is small alley to access and you need to park your car at parking lot 20 THB and take local motorcycle 10 THB to get access the mangroves walk way. You can also take boat tour only 50 THB each.
The mangroves forest is very impressive and the environment is very good you can enjoy along this walk.

beautiful mangroove forest.. we came here early in the morning.. 10baht motor tricycle from the parking to the entrance.. no entrance fee.. just follow the wooden pathway.. it was sunny weather but most of it was shaded...

I love this sort if location where you can wander the boardwalk above various types of mangrove. Be prepared for a 2km walk in the heat as not all shaded. Boats avaliable for less stress. Different times of day and tides will give a varied experience, especially if flowers in season. I wish the Chonburi mangrove reserve was as successful.

Take a boat trip just for 50 baht per person, and captain will stop on the way back in the middle of the walking bridge, so you can walk back and enjoy the scenery

Nice long walk in the mangroves with several seating areas and photo shooting spots along the way. Boat ride is also available for 60.-Thb. Definitely well worth the visit.

Such a beautiful place. Everyone visited Rayong should come to this place. In summer (especially in April), the weather will be very hot. So, be prepare for that. There is a boat service (50baht/person) that take you to see mangrove forest then let you walk back. These pictures are what I actually see. This place is amazing!

Amazing walk through the swamp with boat rides and food also available. Parking 20bht motorbike taxi from the carpark 5bht or a 5min walk.
