Slightly north out of Phang Nga town we found Tham Sam Cave with it's drawings. This is a tiny park with a cave complete with old drawings adorning the walls. The park is beautiful and fine for a short stop.

This small cave is situated just to the north of Phang-Nha Town center. It’s a place which few tourists visit possibly because other larger sites seem more appealing. However, although being relatively small, this site has historical significance to the area. The cave is not very deep (more a cavern than a cave) but the interior walls are covered with rock art which apparently goes back to the reign of King Rama VI. There’s a nice park and a lake to walk around to get to the cave. Worth thirty minutes of your time to check it out.
Safe travels,
Mega.

Great little park with a cave complete with old paintings adorning the walls. Although not well maintained, the park was beautiful. Fine for a short stop or spend a little longer exploring the cave.

A hidden gem! Phang Nga is generally very small and quiet which makes this cave tour even more eerie. Despite its being a bit abandoned the overall area is still well maintained. The cave drawings are quite visible still and hopefully there will be more effort in the future for better tourist info and preservation. Highly recommended and the small roads that lead there with the mountainous scenery are quite charming too.

Love it.
Like most of Thailand , none of the beauty is lost to excessive health & safety apparatus, such as fencing to protect the clumsy from themselves. It’s also free and open to the public, so I couldn’t imagine complaining.

I wouldn’t make a special trip here to see it but definitely recommend it if nearby.

Free to see and very close from the main area in Phang Nga town. The hotel said the name is Sum Cave. I'm not certain that it is known exactly how old the cave paintings are, but they are very beautiful and hopefully they will be around for centuries to come. Posting a lot of photos since I wanted to show various profiles and lighting

Nice little gem close to Phangnga city. Quite little park with rock art from RAMA VI Reign, only takes 15 minutes to see, so nice little place to stop on your travels!

that's the only way you'll find amazing scenery along the way and you won't regret it, time has stopped here and you won't want to leave and rush on

Nice limestone cave with wall paintings from as early as 1850 AD (Buddhist calendar year 2394). Located next to a beautiful lake and limestone cliffs. The cave and paintings are easily accessible by motorbike, car, bicycle or foot and located only a stone-throw away from the nearby road. Free admission, no food or drinks available, no restrooms.

The cave is amazing with its beautiful art carvings/drawings at the entrance. Not too much much tourist are getting here so expect a peaceful and uncrowded place. Quite pretty scary because of its quiet ambiance but locals and visitors are going just to check what's inside. One of the a must to check spots in Phang-nga province.

Cave paintings are great and unusual, the area by the lake is beautiful, but don't expect to spend a lot of time there, it's rather a quick stop on the way.

The lake is the hands-down attraction here ... the cave is just an after-thought (oops!).
