Wat Phuttha Thiwat

A serene and scenic Wat complex with the biggest sitting Buddha figure in Betong, 10 minutes walk from the Clock Tower.

Must visit place for those visiting Betong. Can do Dana and seek refuge from Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha. Great place and large monasteries. A Therawada Buddhist temple.

Worth a visit, the temple compound is huge. They must have spent a lot of efforts building this premises. Not much of activities though, presumably not the case when events are being held and celebrated on certain days

A not to be missed temple if you happen to visit the town of Betong, Thailand. A huge and stunning brass Buddha statue awaits you inside the temple with an equally scenic environment.

Visited a few times, it was less crowded, a good place to walk around and enjoy the Thailand temple buildings decoration. Also, there are monks living there. Always a sunny weather when i visit in the morning. Love the colour of the buildings, and i heard sometimes there would be events during the festivals.

Very Nice

Located in the downtown of Betong. The temple is finely built. The environment is superb and you will get to see a huge Buddha statue. Must leave your footprint here when you are travelling to Betong. The entrance is free of charge.

The monks were smiling to me even though I wore hijab. FYI, Betong is really scary because it is so easy to find out many moral and official police officers nearby keeping their eyes to people. However, religious matter is a such big deal between moslem and Buddhist in Thailand. Anyway, this temple is authentic. There were several renovations but it was OK.
