Yellow House Koh Si Chang

A magical place with a beautiful view. Very friendly staff. The hotel has a restaurant and they brought us a hotpot right on the balcony next to our room. It was an unforgettable experience. The only downside is that it is very high you have to climb the stairs. But I guess that's a fair price of a good view

Very friendly and helpful staff. Spent a lot of the time at the beginning highlighting activities and places to see on the island as well as things to be aware of (eg. Roads best avoided by scooter). Amazing view from dining area and room. Loved all the pets. Rooms quite basic but in line with undeveloped island living and were clean and maintained. Bed comfortable. No daily cleaning etc but didn't expect it anyway. Basic brekky, we extended our stay directly with the hotel and negotiated a cheaper price without brekky for the extra stay. Fantastic location, right on secluded beach but not too far from main town and primary island beach. Could walk it but probably better if you hire a scooter. Be aware there is a steep bit of steps to climb from parking to hotel, for us it was part of the charm. Would definitely consider staying here if ever visiting ko sichang again.

We are regular customers since we have stayed here for around 4-5 times already. We have chosen here mainly because of the stunning view from our balcony room, from the breakfast place terrace, and from down below (a special walk way reaching the to the bottom). It is a simple guest house with not much decor inside the room, but it is always clean and tidy.

There are few drawbacks but since we are regular clients, we can easily adjust and prepare ourselves. For example, they don't have food service, except for a simple breakfast with unlimited instant drinks and instant noodles if you get hungry at night. That's why we would normally buy food from 7-11 convenience store on our way back to the guesthouse.

The island is not that big, so we can actually walk from the Pier to the guesthouse. If you didn't rent a bike, you can ask for Tuk tuk service and they would offer you round trip from the guest house to the beach for only 250THB (we walked once back was pretty tiring since the walk can be quite steep at some points 😅)

Lastly, the owner has many cats (around 10) so each time we go there, we go to spend time with them and see them grow every time we go back. I think this is a highlight if you are a cat lover 😺

For me it was the perfect experience. The food in the restaurant is fantastic. But if you have some sort pf phobia towards millipedes, this island might not be for you: I had to take them out of my bathroom bare-handed. Also, Koh Si Chang is inhabited by hornets, so keep that in mind.

The view is absolutely marvelous! Owners are very friendly and always ready to help. Although this place is certainly not for everybody, I give it 10 out of 10 for magnificent view on the sea and, of course, the food. You simply MUST try deep-fried crab with curry, it’s amazing.

There’s also packs of dogs on the island, as well as wild boars, but they seemed friendly. But be careful nonetheless.

Beautiful views from our private balcony afforded us comfort to watch the sunset over the water. There's a small beach visible at low tide (it gets submerged during high tide) that was visible from said balcony. Locals would harvest mussels from the rocks every morning.

The owner spent 20 years in Germany, so if you speak or understand German - and that's better than your Thai - you're in luck. She also seemed to like exercising her German.

The home-cooked Thai food from the kitchen of Yellow House was the best I had during my 10-day trip to Thailand. Flavorful but not too spicy.

They did use a lot a lot of yellow paint, but the house isn't entirely yellow. The food is very delicious here. The owners have a small restaurant on the main floor. I really like the seafood fried rice. One of the owners speaks fluent German, so it's great for German guests. It overlooks the ocean, with a great view. There are steep steps leading down the cliffs to the ocean. There's not a beach here, but it's a 100-baht taxi ride to the beach, so it's pretty close.

Koh Si Chang is not my favourite island in Thailand, but the Yellow House is fantastic choice should you be coming here. All rooms have uninterrupted seaviews of the bay, as well as being clean and comfortable. The owners is a wonderful bubbly woman who will do her best to accommodate your needs. There is also a nice little restaurant from which you can enjoy stunning sunset views.

Good rooms, great stuff and service the only thing that is little hard if you gust you have to be with motorcycle if not you will walk a lot 😉

Friendly staffs! They taught me hunting squids by using rod. It locate on the hill so I had to walk upstair to the resort. But I could watch sunset from the terrace. There is tiny beach near Yellow house, just walk down to the beach. Comfy bed with big room.

Perfect experience. Good room, comfortable bed, no issues with facilities. Extremely great view from balcony and common area. Very friendly owners and good food in the “restaurant”. So I believe when we come back - will not look for other one.
Easy to reach by tuk tuk (80thb) and great value for money.

Perfect view and very nice personnel! The only con about the place is that you have to make your way up the stairs to get there.
