A beautiful temple that is easily accessible via a cable-pulled car (if the operator is present) or a short climb up some stairs. Offers great island views and multiple places to worship. Possibly the most interesting place to visit on the island.

The faith of sacred items, Chao Pho Khao Yai Shrine at Sichang Island is another place where Chonburi’s people respect for a long time. The faith passed down from generation to generation, makes the Shrine more interesting.

In the shrine area, other than the cave of Chao Pho Khao Yai, there are another places in the area to pray like Guan Yin Shrine, Lao Pun Tao Kong Shrine, Chao Pho Khumsub Shrine, Sangkachai Temple, Pae Ma and Pae Kong Shrine, Heng Jia Shrine, and U Tai Kong which open for tourism to pray.

Chao Pho Khao Yai Shrine is located on the top of Kayasira hill, the sacred place where Chinese in-country and abroad are respected, especially, for trading and job. The shrine is a large building in the shape of a Chinese temple. Chao Pho Khao Yai is located inside the cave on the mountain. Apart from the Chao Pho Khao Yai, inside is also the enshrinement of Chao Pho Heng Jia, Guan Yin, Sangkachai, and other gods as well. During the Chinese New Year, people come to sacrifice Chao Pho Khao Yai and various gods. that is firmly established in this place with the strong belief that when they come to pray respect to Chao Pho Khao Yai will make business prosperous success at work, It is believed that any person who pays homage to the god of Khao Yai for 3 consecutive years will receive a wonderful fortune, successful, prosperous work and money flowed in. A popular Chinese style temple on a mountain, fantastic view , many stairs to climb up to the top
A must visit when you are at Ko Sichang
Ask your hotel to arrange a full day tour costing 250 - 300 baht visiting few places of interest
Will come again next time

The most impressive part of the shrine is located up in the natural caves, where the believers attach red stripes of paper with wishes written on them in many languages. Among many religious figures especially prominent are the strange golden Buddha and stern-faced Monkey god Hanuman. Great view on the island and the bay from the terrace. You can also take a funicular, but it's not much fun and probably useful mostly for the elderly or disabled.
The way up to the Buddha footprint is exhausting and rewards you with some nice panoramas, yet the footprint itself is rather underwhelming -- must have spiritual meaning for the devout, though.

A very beautiful temple located on a hill on the very very beautiful island called Koh Sichang. It is considered a sacred place because there is a Buddha statue enshrined in one of the caves. You can get a great view from the top of the hill because overlooks Sriracha Bay.

You've got to visit this place if you come to Ko Si Chang. Donations to the temple are almost obligatory, 20 baht should be okay.
