Wat Bot Lhong Pu Tien

Personally I think here is another must visit temple in Prathum Thani province which is so close to Bangkok. The temple has long story with over 400 years Wihan. Despite the temple is still under some construction, it is still popular for people to visit as there are many sacred activities to do and to make merit.

A temple filled with so many sacred activities that one can participate. There are numbers of beautiful buddha images and authentic decoration. There was so many people on the day we went. Despite no special event arranged. The abbot and monks are super friendly and very kind.

This temple is a very good place to go and make merit if you don't mind the crowd...

This temple is under construction their chapel by lift it up the whole buildint to 2 meters higher than before. Beleiving that if someone like to lift their life to be a better level, you could join the chapel lifting by yourself or donate for the expense of lifting cost.
Parking are available in front of their temple which can be park around 100 cars.

The latest construction of a huge hall is being build for a giant cycling Buddha. This building has no roof yet, it may be finished next.year. Still a visit to this very colorful wat is highly recommended

Come here almost everytime after i bring my niece to her university.

It is a temple with a story about Monks who have a well-known science. And it is a story about a Thai king in the Thonburi dynasty, a temple that is more than 300 years ago

I'm not really an expert on temples but it was a cool temple with some ancient background, lovely place, peaceful

วัดโบสถ์
เดิมชื่อ วัดสร้อยนางหงษ์ ตั้งอยู่ทางฝั่งตะวันออกของแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา ในหมู่ที่ 5 บ้านกลาง ตำบลบ้านกลาง อำเภอเมืองปทุมธานี จังหวัดปทุมธานี สร้างเมื่อ พ.ศ. 2164 โดยชาวมอญที่อพยพมามาจากเมืองหงสาวดี และเอาชื่อหมู่บ้านที่ตนอพยพมาอาศัยอยู่ ตั้งเป็นชื่อวัดและได้สร้างเสาหงส์ขึ้นไว้เป็นสัญลักษณ์ วัดได้รับพระราชทานวิสุงคามสีมาในปี พ.ศ. 2167
สิ่งที่น่าสนใจในวัด ได้แก่ “พระพุทธจักรพรรดิ” หรือ “หลวงพ่อสมปรารถนา”พระพุทธรูปสำคัญ ลักษณะเป็นรูปทรงเครื่องอายุกว่า 400 ปี ประดิษฐานอยู่ภายในวิหารพระรามัญ หรืออุโบสถหลังเก่า ซึ่งมีกรอบประดับหน้าบันแกะสลักประดับด้วยลวดลายศิลปะอยุธยาผสมยุโรป แต่อยู่ในการปฏิสังขรณ์ พระพุทธรูปองค์นี้ เป็นที่เคารพสักการะของผู้มากราบไหว้ ในด้านการประทานพรโชคลาภสำเร็จดั่งใจ จนได้ชื่อว่า “หลวงพ่อสมปรารถนา” รวมถึงความสมบูรณ์ด้านสุขภาพ กล่าวกันว่าการได้มาไหว้พระพุทธจักรพรรดิเป็นการเสริมโชคลาภ ไม่เจ็บไม่จน หน้าที่การงานเจริญตลอดทั้งปี ภายในอุโบสถ มีพระพุทธอายุวัฒนมงคล เป็นพระประธาน สีทองอร่ามตัดกับผนังภายในสีแดงเข้ม ดูงดงามมาก
ส่วนภายในมณฑปหลวงปู่เทียน มี รูปเหมือน หลวงปู่เทียน อดีตเจ้าอาวาส ก็เป็นอีกสิ่งหนึ่งที่มีผู้คนมาสักการะเสมอเมื่อมาเยือนวัดนี้ ท่านได้รับการยกย่องให้เป็นหนึ่งในสุดยอด “พระเกจิอาจารย์” ของเมืองปทุมฯ วัตถุมงคลของท่านเป็นที่ต้องการของวงการเซียนพระอย่างมาก ส่วนในศาลามี รูปหล่อสมเด็จพระเจ้าตากสิน อยู่ภายในให้ผู้เคาระศรัทธาได้ถวายราชสักการะอีกด้วย
