Went there at a friend's recommendations. Did not regret. The place is incredible.

Semi abandoned large area of numbers of worship locations on mountains top. I had the best of time shooting one of the temples, and could open and close light sources. Shoot the Buddha statue without interruptions. As a photographer it was a drooling experience. Highly recommended.

A temple of great beauty and variety

Must be one of the most impressive and beautiful temples in Thailand. Extensive grounds with a fabulous array of buildings, statuary and works of art. We were lucky enough to visit on a festival day so lots of decorating going on. Just magical.

Just visited on 13 Nov 21. The temple was located on the hill where you can see great view of Phayao from this top here. The temple was really beautiful and decorated in an old traditional style. Inside, there’s also big buddha and other northern style architecture to visit. The place was quite peaceful and no crowd. Worth visit and make some merit!. Seem that the temple had a lot of expense e.g maintenance expense and especially for dog food. In front of the temple, there’re many dogs lying here. A monk said their numbers almost increased everyday due to abandon 😢

A beautiful temple up in the hills overlooking lake Phayao (although the only view of the lake and Phayao city seems to be from a corner of the car park).
Nevertheless, the temple grounds contain a number of beautiful, historic buildings and Buddha statues.
It's about a 20-30 minute drive from Phayao city, the last bit being quite steep and winding. If you don't have your own wheels you'll probably have to take a taxi as there is no apparent bus service.
Well worth a visit and highly recommended.

Nice and peaceful temple

I'm here at the beginning of August and the smell of Jasmine fills the air. It's truly incredible to see the views and smell the Jasmine. I quickly found out why as I realized that I was surrounded by Jasmine. Most people uploaded the Wat structures and sculptures, but I decided to upload the Jasmine covered walkways. It is something you need to experience this time of year.

Fantastic experience with so much creative and diverse architecture and details all amidst a lush environment. If ever you wanted to just sit down and absorb the harmonious feeling it would be here. A must to visit in Phayao.

สุดสวยจริงๆ ... If you are in Payao (in the capital district, called "Meuang") and have 2 to 3 hours of time available, this mountain is worth exploring.

Up on hillside. Walk around gardens with views of lake
