Chai Chet Resort

Very well run resort, ideal for our 5 days on the island. We spent our time between the beach and the lovely swimming pool, both never felt busy at all, plenty of loungers and loads of room. The beach is good for swimming, low tide you'll need to walk out a bit to get deep, but it wasn't a bother. The swimming pool is fantastic, the best we've found in Thailand. Credit to the staff, they are very attentive and friendly. Breakfast was great, they lean more towards Asian style breakfast (not a bad thing), the French toast was really nice, shame it was only available on one of the morning. My only suggestion to make the breakfast even better is to have some pastries on offer, apart from that brilliant. The rooms are comfortable and clean, yes they are slightly dated now but it almost gives off a little charm, you don't come to Koh Chang to sit in your room! The location of the resort is great, you have everything you need around you, loads of nice cheap restaurants, and a handy Seven 11. My onlu negative was the hire fee for the kayaks at 300 baht per hour which I thought was high, for this reason we didn't use them. Maybe they could be free to use for guests for 1 hour, anything past that could be charged? All in all a great stay, I'd highly recommend if you're looking for a place where you can relax, chill and enjoy the sunshine, the resort has everything you need!

After an early check-out form of another, nearby resort we were lucky to get a villa here on short notice at the busiest time of the year. The villa we stayed at is located on the hill and from what I gather is a very good location, as it's a fairly quiet and beautiful area and the resort itself has everything you need, private beach, pool, good restaurant and beautiful spots for taking pictures. I would suggest adding blackout curtains because of the morning sun and put a lounger on the terrace as it has plenty of space for one for those who want to sunbathe or just relax. Otherwise a very good value stay 👍🏻

This has to be the best stretch of beach on Koh Chang. We found the resort to be very relaxing and peaceful. The pool was luxurious with fantastic views across the beach and we loved the view from our beachside villa. At breakfast the staff removed our dirty plates from the table in a timely manner and the breakfast buffet was well stocked. There are plenty of good eating options nearby and the beach is lovely to walk along as it is not affected by tides to the extent white sands beach and kai bae beach are. The only negative were the Russian tourists who reserve the deck chairs with towels or sarongs yet rarely occupy them meaning other guests were unable to use them. This however is not the fault of the resort but perhaps they could put up a sign stating chairs cannot be reserved.

Nice resort with clean and beautiful bungalows. Beach just a minute or two away. Pool nice but little busy. Breakfast so so.

This is my third time staying at this resort- first time about 10 years ago. Yet, even though the pandemic, Chai Chet has stayed beautiful and well maintained. The location is amazing having both a beach and a private rocky point on the water. The pool and restaurant were both well maintained. The breakfast was satisfactory- wish there was more Thai food, but they are trying to satisfy western tastes (who often don't appreciate good Thai food.) The room was great with soft beds and good water pressure. Staff are friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again next time we return to Kho Chaing. Thank you

A great resort with a naturalistic environment. Great staff and a refreshing pool on a rainy day. The weather was quite gloomy when we were there and loved the option of their beach front to swimming pool. A great resort for families. Even though it’s listed as a 3 star, in any other city it would easily be a 4 star.

Very clam sea beautiful beaches, nices villas

The location is perfectly in the middle of Koh Chang’s main shopping areas and is easy to get a motorbike rental from here.

The rooms are nice and clean, very comfy beds and the staff clean it daily with absolutely no stress.

Breakfast buffet is good and the food is plentiful. I’m a big boy and I would go back just for the buffet 😂

There is a spot to watch the sunset by the rocks and it literally blew my socks off!

The local business from Koh Chang native owner , who tried to keep island and koh Chang community concept , you can visit the fishermen pier along the water that see how they collect the fish or shrimp in the shrimp season, you can walk along the calm beach , you can see the best sunset spot with the beautiful cove background, you feel safe and independent, convenient and nice stay . The place must visit and check around.

Chai Chet Resort fantastic loved my stay ! all staff from reception to gardeners were very nice polite easy going ready to help , pool excellent ,daily massages available, buffet breakfast fantastic selection from Thai to European, resorts own restaurant food excellent value and selection.

Have stayed here regularly, it is tucked away on one of the quieter beaches on Koh Chang! Courteous staff, decent restaurant and easily the best pool on the island! Highly recommended!

Rooms are a little meager, but the location more than makes up for it.

I love that place since 2010. That is the quite corner aside of crowd and traffic. It allows to feel yourself mentally comfortable.

This is great place for romantic staying with wife or girlfriend or family. Have great service. Beach not far . I have a great views from my apartment. Would recomend this place for visit 💯%

The sea views are stunning in a bay surrounded by mountains. The food and service is excellent. Reasonably priced and comfortable room.

Excellent resort for families, couples and solo travelers. Very nice pool, beach area and on western side peaceful area next to sea.Fishing pier at resort also very interesting to watch.

Been here three times over the years. Always a great experience. Excellent location, service and staff. Highly recommended.
