Koh Chang

I love it! Its not Koh Samui, it's not Koh "Zen" Phangan. And it's only 4 hours from Bangkok by minibus and 45mins by plane to Trat. It feels more real and has a great time to come ❤🙏

Koh Chang beautiful island not so built up as most great for nature

I would live the rest of my life here.

Koh Chang is one of my favorite places in all of Thailand, as it has the beautiful beaches and scenic routes as other popular island destinations, but I find Koh Chang is not nearly as crowded and busy in comparison.

I've made this location a yearly destination for its affordable costs and minimal crowding, also its a nice motorcycle trip for the scenic routes.

Koh Chang is good to spent vacation there, A lots of restaurants, bar ,and you can rest at the beach, sunbathing or kayaking.
*You can come here by ferry but sometimes ferry is really busy ,you have to wait in long line for drive car to the ferry.

A little piece of heaven. Especially in the South West end and South eastern part of the island. i recommend a day motorcycle trip on the eastern side coastline down to the Navy Memorial. and the fishing village of Bang bao (south west) . drive safe and enjoy the scenery.

Beautiful chilled out island. If you want a party it's not the right island for you but if you want beautiful beaches and a nice place to chill out then this place is the one!!

If you want to experience both the sea and the mountains, you are looking for this island! A great place, bit far from Bangkok but a family friendly hotels, affordable

Lovely island, actually the largest island of about 50 in total I think. We loved it ! You can visit some of the nearby islands, maybe by boat (there are a few operators on Koh Chang), kayaks & paddle-boards too.
The ferry is ok, quite well run both ways for us ! Every hour from 6.30 - 18.30 normally (Ao Thammachat - Koh Chang piers).
The island is very developed with lots of shops, bars, restaurants on the west side of the island-especially around White sand beach, though you can access the beach through for e.g. Sea Bar or Beach Tango restaurants. The sea water will be very close in - tides - during the day remember during some of the year.
The east side of the island is great too, and may be starting to be developed too in the future, now is a lot less built up (nowhere near the "excess"? of developments as the west side has) - not "touristy" really. There is the odd waterfall attraction and road to the mangrove /boardwalk and estuary, and a cool, little fishing village (Salak Khok) - check out the seafood restaurant next to the village 👍. The rest of the island is well worth looking around. Most vehicles go pretty slow, some steep, winding roads, but no problem and they are good roads.
If you come by car or can carry with you (7-11 prices on a lot of things are several Baht more expensive than the mainland😉, and fuel is about 2 Baht/l more also), it is best to fill up before you arrive (PT Station & shop (LHS) just before the mainland ferry).

Very beautiful island which 3 hours drive from Bangkok.

If you don’t like social life in Pattaya, Koh Chang is a very peaceful quiet island for you. Not so many people and tourists. With healthy food and lifestyle.

Something for everyone's taste.
A good place to whittle a week or two away.

Ko Chang means “Elephant Island,” if you’d like an up-close-and-personal encounter with the Ko Chang then you should visit beautiful island. Koh Chang is the third-largest island in Thailand by area, island is koh chang experienced a huge. boom in tourism, so new hotels and restaurants abound.

Small but fine. Quiet, place to relax.

beautiful island, not as crowdy as other thai islands, a lot of activities here: we did a jungle hike, snorkeling, biking, laying on the beach...it was amazing :D

All considered probably the best island in Thailand. Good size to explore for a few days, beautiful waterfalls and beaches, not too crowded, not too far from BKK, good party areas at white sand beach, family friendly but also some raunchy bars for solo travelers, cheap hotels, nice diving sites and international cuisine. Always a pleasure to be here.

Koh Chang is quite a large island not far from the mainland. Its laid back and relaxing. Food is amazing. There are party spots if you want. White sand beach and the other end of lonely beach. Just love it here.

Amazing island for vacation, nice beaches, peaceful, off the noise and the crowded. The restaurants there have good food, sandy beaches everywhere, the sunset is amazing to see. There are cooking classes, island touring, elephant sanctuaries, motobike rental and bars, swimming pool ... everything you need for your vacation, night market. Loved the island so much
