During my recent visit to Ko Chang, I had the opportunity to explore the Salakphet Temple, an experience that was both spiritually enriching and visually stunning.

Nestled amidst the island's lush landscape, this temple serves as a tranquil retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The temple's architecture is a feast for the eyes, showcasing intricate designs that reflect the rich cultural heritage of the region. The use of vibrant colors and detailed carvings creates a sense of awe as soon as you step onto the temple grounds. The main attraction, however, is the majestic Buddha statue housed within the temple. This exquisite piece of art exudes a sense of peace and serenity, inviting visitors to reflect and meditate in its presence.

Beyond the architectural marvels, the temple grounds are impeccably maintained, offering a clean and serene environment for contemplation and relaxation. The surrounding greenery and the gentle sounds of nature add to the overall calming atmosphere of the place.

Definitely the most beautiful temple in Koh Chang and in a beautiful location right across from the Mangrove Forest.
Two places that should not be missed.

Very beautiful temple at the intersection of the road who lead to the mangrove walk. Few stands next to it where you can eat.

Whilst exploring the island I rode past this temple. The colours against the blue sky caught my eye and I had to go back to look and take some photos. This temple has green gardens around it and with a blue sky and the beautiful temple colours in the sunlight is was spectacular .
There were very few people there so I was able to take my time and take in the details of the temple.

There is a 20 baht donations box at the entrance to help pay for the electricity costs for the complex which I was more then willing to pay as if was the same price for all. I would recommend a visit especially with few tourist you can take you time and enjoy it.

Very nice temple, small and very cozy. Only few turists, but you can see monks there and buy holy necklace made by them. Definitely do not miss.

Located on Koh Chang at the intersection of the road leading to the mangrove forest. This is probably the most beautiful temple on the island. Worth the stop to admire it.

A beautiful temple with a big Buddha inside. You feel the energy there standing in front of him. There is also a small shop across the road where you can buy cheap shakes from a very nice lady.

Just another beautiful temple... for all who like a nice quiet place to be here you can relax...
There are a few shops around offering food and drinks.

If you want to go inside the temple as tourist you are requested to donate 20 THB. Also Buddhists arrived in the capitalism... smile.
