Babylon Ristorante Pizzeria

Tips : Must order pizza if you are visiting Babylon.
Day 1.... It is the height of Songkran and we are staying at Centara. Babylon is the nearest restaurant. Drove by and tried their Chocolate and Hazelnut flavour Gelato in the afternoon. Really not bad. Then in the evening to avoid being drenched we return for dinner. Funny enough we ordered Som Tom (Papaya salad) and Massaman Curry with Pork. I know. It's an Italian restaurant and it's absurd to order Thai food but we just had Italian lunch earlier. We didn't bring phone so no pictures today. Papaya salad is good. We ask for less fish sauce and sugar and they made it to perfection. Massaman Curry is good but sort of what you expect. No surprises here.
Day 2.... Ordered Garlic Bread, Tagliatelle Mamma Rosa (Italian Sausage and mushrooms in Tomato Cream Sauce) and Beef with Sage, Parma Ham and Wine Sauce. Honestly I think dishes are just ok. Would like more sauce and fresh mushrooms in my pasta. Beef steak is a bit dry and chewy but I guess I might be expecing too much in Thailand.
Day 3..... it’s the height of Songkran and to avoid getting drenched in our dinner clothes we dine at the nearest restaurant. Tried Gelato again this afternoon, Chocolate and Yogurt Cherry flavour. Both very good. Mer Nico the owner who was making pizza today. The pizzas from next table smell amazing last night so we already decided to have pizza tonight. Nico is very friendly and gave us some tips on how to improve our homemade pizza. At dinner we ordered Pizzas No. 12 Crudo (Parma Ham) and No. 33 Meat Love. Oh my God they were DIVINE!!! I know I have said best pizza a few times but there is always nice surprises in our travels and this is one of them. They slice their meats fresh right before adding to the pizzas. Crust is thin and not doughy. Just the right amount of crispiness for me. Not too much sauce and cheese therefore the pizza is not soggy. The result is a well balanced pizza which I consumed without guilt. I wish I have ordered pizza the first day or more time on the island so I can try more of Nico's pizza.

At first I tried their gelato and it was so good that I assumed the food must be good too, and I was not disappointed. Home made Fresh pasta, cooked perfectly with a delicious 4 cheese sauce. Friendly staff as well. Definitely my go-to Italian restaurant in Ko Chang.

Our favourite beach restaurant and bar on Klong Prao Beach! During the day you can relax on sunbeds and join some food and drinks as well as the sea in front. Very nice atmosphere and especially friendly staff with great service. Food and drinks are really tasty and worth the price. In the evening for dinner the fish is also super tasty and fresh. Many greetings and thanks to the staff, they made our holidays 🙏

Really great place, we ate here twice, and both times were AMAZING!
We had a pizza , penna rose and the best was the hand made pasta with 4 cheese sauce.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the staff was extremely friendly and spoke very good English. It was also a great place to have a drink. I can only recommend it!

Very good italian food and original , the bread is homemade and also the icecream. The Thaifood is also very good. We ate here often, we recommend this Restaurant:-)

I have always rated this restaurant as the best authentic Italian food provider on the island for the last 13 years I have been here, and would suggest you could not find better in anywhere outside Italy. Their pizzas are phenominal. Most of my food from them has been takeaway but this evening I had the time to 'eat in'. Only a very slight disappointment that the owner and his wife were not there this evening was quickly taken away by the fact that the service and quality of the food was not compromised in their absence. Very good pizza, dough made with slow natural leavening.

Homemade ice cream.
Must try raspberry, caffe latte, hazelnut.

Improved a lot.
Mauro does make a very good thin crispy pizza, Italian style.
The order delivery takes some time if the restaurant is full, but everything if fresh and home made.
Staff is attentive and friendly, prices are reasonable.
I front of the restaurant you can buy home made ice cream.

Great food, value and experience.
Highly recommended.

Edit: Came back to read the original review and find it's quite an understatement. This is the best pizza I've ever had in my life. Will go back to Koh Chang for this.

Perfect! The Pizza was like in italy. The Service was great and to see the Kids having fun to sell ice cream gives this a really nice atmosphere.
Its not cheap for a meal in Thailand. But definitely worth it!

Our family went to dinner here last night. Staff were friendly and attentive. Highly recommend the pizzas, garlic bread and the bruschetta.

Qualitative cuisine, real know-how. The boss has the knowledge to make quality pizza dough. He LOVES what he does, that’s what makes the difference. Nice atmosphere, comfortable restaurant.

Tremendous pizza; big portions, good staff at a good roadside location. Rustic outdoor seating and a great ice cream counter at the front.

Excellent Hawaiian pizza, can't say Authentic as i'm not an Italian though it was amazingly delicious, thin and crispy served with lots of topping! Spaghetti was pretty cool, especially for garlic lovers!
Highly recommended.

First time to try real pizza by an Italian chef. We had spicy salami and mushrooms pizza and it was pretty good flavour, not greasy like other pizza in SE. Recommend to try it.

Nice, clean, cozy, family friendly, Italian authentic restaurant! Super helpful and sincere staff. Large variety of menu choices. A real stone pizza oven gives off a warm atmosphere. To die for homemade ice cream and assorted Italian wines. The prices are very reasonable. I highly suggest you give it a try 👍😁

We were in the Pilot Bar right on Klong Prao Beach, a very nice place ✌with a wonderful view in the shade of the trees, the two nice guys mixed us a delicious Mai Tai 🍹🍹
