Route 1148 Cafe & Baan Talay Mok

We stopped by this lovely cafe with fantastic views on our way to Nan. We asked the staff about taking our dirt bikes up a nearby mountain and they gave us directions. We offloaded our bikes and left our baggage at the cafe. We then rode our Singapore dirt bikes (crf300l & ktm500) up the mountain for an hour - About 5.5km off road to the summit, lots of steep ascents and descents, loose rocks, thick leaf litter. Great views from the top! Do not recommend if you’re riding a loaded bike or not a confident enduro rider.

Finally we returned to the cafe for drinks and enjoyed the evening sunset 😁

Good coffee shop with an absolutely amazing view. The coffee shop has a good selection of drinks and also the iconic “magic mountain” view. A must stop for all travelers.

One of the best views in Thailand. A nice simple Thai/English menu, friendly staff and great prices. (I just wish we could get eggs that aren't soaked in oil).

Good coffee and food and not expensive with beautiful view. accomodation was comfortable with free breakfast. We,2 person, stayed in a room good 4 person(2 king size bed)... no ac just fan, we were here... ordered in advance for dinner, we had mukata or grilled pork and soup set.
I recommend this place, 1 staff can speak basic english, for non-thai speaker. The price of the room is not expensive compare to the close by accomodation. It is beside magic mountain cafe.
You have to come during greenfield season.. we were here September 20 and every field was green..it's a bit hot during midday.

Great place to stop, eat, have coffee and take in the views. It's on highway 1148 which is the best motorcycle ride you'll find in Thailand. Ride this road and stop here for a break and good coffee 👌
