Its busy-ness was up and down and guests came and went. Staff friendly and helpful. Booked on line and hotel arranged a taxi pick up from airport. It was a little expensive. A door to door service was good because of the overnight early flight arrival.
Rooms very clean. Food very good.
Can rent bikes, boats and motor scooters, etc.
Plenty to do in the area - visited the marsh lands for birdwatching, Saturday night market for local food.
Great expanse of beach.
Area not inundated with tourists so very quiet. If you are looking for night life, you won't find it here!

A very nice small and friendly resort. Super suitable for kids, there are plenty of facilities and attractions - playground, kids room, swimming pool with slide and lots of various toys around. The kitchen was better than expected and quite reasonable cocktails. It is not a top luxury resort and not a brand new one either, there are some quirks here and there, but friendliness of staff and the general ambience makes up for it.

My family and I have been staying at Dolphin Bay Resort two or three times per year, for fifteen years or more now, when we drive up from the south to Bangkok. I think we have stayed in every type of room, from the big family apartments, pool and garden view bungalows and also once in the rooms above the main building. Every single time we have enjoyed our stay. Buffet breakfast (help yourself as much as you want) is good, particularly the coffee in large mugs, and also dinner and food off the menu. Try the BBQ chicken or steak, if a meat eater. There is a choice of beers and wine. I like how the pool has a lane roped off for parents who want to swim some laps. The location is excellent by the beach, quiet and relaxed. After a long drive up from the South of Thailand it’s the perfect place to relax before driving into BKK the next day. As many people point out, it’s perfect for families with kids. We have already booked for our next stay.

This is the fifth time we come here. It is a paradise for parents with kids: quiet, safe, genuine, local people around and no other resorts. Our children are busy all day long playing with other kids and we can relax in this very well thought place. Prices are excellent. Even in the shop they are not taking advantage of us. The service is perfect. It would be hard to say anything negative about here even for the grouchiest individual being. Before covid a lot of people were repeat customers. I was reluctant to leave a review about our “secret place”. Now I think is a good time to share this awesome place to other families.

Super nice short stay at Dolphin Bay Resort. We stayed for two nights with two kids, had fun in the pools, good food for every taste and an adventurous trip to Phraya Nakon cave.
Would come back here and recommend to others. (Better book via their website directly)

It’s not always easy to find a place to stay that accommodates our big family. It’s great that DBR has room options with 2 and 3 bedrooms or more. We like the location on a quiet Long Beach. We live in Bangkok and the resort is perfect for a short stay over the weekend or longer stay. We stayed in the 3-bedroom villa and had our own pool to relax in. We look forward to being back for the next long weekend.

A cozy hotel that's very kid-friendly. There are options of suites with 2 bedrooms and kitchenette and a villa facing the playground. The are 2 sizeable pools for children and adults located right next to the restaurant. Food is great, albeit slightly pricey by Hua Hin standards. There's a small children's room for kids to watch movies or play toys. Opposite the hotel you can easily cross the road (very safe, just a small 2-way lane for cars & cyclists) to swim at the sea.

I didn't stay there, but we popped in for lunch. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. It is a great place for children - so much to do!

We stayed here for 2 nights as a couple in July 2023 and paid 1390/n for a Deluxe Ocean View Room. We were happy with the view but noticed that the garden view rooms still seemed like they had a pleasant view over the pool and grounds so could also have happily saved the 200 or so and stayed in one of those. The rooms are a bit tired and basic but open and airy and certainly adequate. The safe in our room (26) had low battery and didn't work but couldn't be bothered asking for it to be fixed. Staff were friendly and helpful. We also hired a scooter for a day and it was about 50 baht more than outside the hotel but was convenient and we were able to charge it to the room and settle by card instead of cash so that was nice. Pools are very nice, and the grounds and deck chairs around very nice, also deck chairs on beach opposite road. Planned on using the gym but we ended up doing so much walking exploring the caves etc. didn't feel the need but looked like a good gym with two nice looking treadmills. Restaurant seemed nice and prices about typical for a hotel. We opted to try some other nearby places along the street that are a bit cheaper and also the night we had the scooter we went to the markets set up about 200m up from the 711 on the main road that had excellent cheap food. If you want the cheapest food along the beach head to the very southern end. One place at the very end, good cheap local food and second place on beach side of the road about 150m from the end, does cheap noodles and rice dishes. Neither are open for dinner though. About the only negatives I could say about the place is there is not much privacy or noise barrier between balconies so if your neighbours are out on the balcony talking while you are out too you will hear everything. Also in our room the shower door didn't close properly so water got onto the floor. Other than that an excellent stay and would definitely consider when next in the area.

My first time at the resort and the Sam Roi Yord area. It’s so beautiful and very peaceful here. The resort itself is very well maintained and great view right across from the beach , with a lot of amenities for kids and families. We have been staying at 6 different hotels in our 1 months visit in Thailand. This is by far the best in term of kid friendly and family activities. They even have step stools in every bathroom for kids, plastic cups and plates, those little detail matters! We will definitely be back!

Nice resort beachside. Great views and very relaxing. Happened to meet the French owner who is a very nice man, he told me a lot about the local area.

Breakfast buffet is really delicious, wish I had added it to my package but 200 Baht is worth it definitely.

August 2023, 2 adults + 2 teens. We have just had a wonderful 6 night stay at Dolphin Bay, staying in a 3-bed villa with pool. The accommodation is a little basic, but comfortable and clean, it suited us very well. The location is lovely. The private pool was a good size; we didn't use the resort's main pools, but they looked good. The gardens are very attractive.

The trips offered by the hotel are an excellent way to explore the local area; we did many. In particular, we enjoyed the trip to Kui Buri national park to see elephants, and also the trip to the freshwater marsh - the scenery and wildlife were stunning.
All of the hotel reception staff were very helpful in organising these trips for us (thanks especially to Puipui), nothing seemed to be too much trouble.

The food and drink at Cafe Loma were very good, with a large and varied menu (the spice level of the curries could be adapted to taste) and the staff very attentive. Special thanks to Noth and Tia for looking after us so well, and accommodating our vegetarian diet!

We would love to return again one day, and would recommend it to everyone 😊

It’s pretty hard to pick one resort out of heaps of accommodation around here. To be honest I picked this resort according to the deal on Agoda application.

The room is good meeting standard, they got hot shower, provided soap and shampoo, two sets of towels (in room and pool).

The environment and location is more than I expected. They have a lot of outdoor activities and services to provide. A lot of seats to relax though-out the day, playground for kids, some magazines, spa and massages, bike and motorbike rental, laundry 50฿/kg, cafe at the front near the beach. Also they have travel programs to drive is around to national park even the bus from/to Bangkok.

Free wifi all over the places without login required.

Parking is safe and large space, there’s security to check our cars at the back of the resort.

They don’t have phone in a room to contact reception but they have LINE id that I can text them with fast response. When I first arrived the bin wasn’t empty, I texted them to empty it. They clear it out within 5mins since I texted them. So fast response.

I would come back for sure.

We LOVE this wonderful place! It’s relaxing and restful and always refreshing for us. The amenities for the kids and the outings that the staff help to arrange are so much fun. The restaurant serves wonderful food and drink at a great price. Highly recommended!
