This is a huge National Park and there are many sites you can visit. We visited 2 of the 3 caves . It was quite a hike to get to those caves .
We stayed at the bungalow of the national park ; not realizing there are many other equally nice (and perhaps cheaper chalets) along the beach

It’s December and the wind is really strong
Highly recommended place to stay and explore

Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, in Thailand's Prachuab Khiri Khan province, transcends the typical definition of a national park. It's an intricate tapestry woven from rugged limestone karsts, emerald jungles, and crystal-clear waters, all harmonizing in a symphony of breathtaking beauty. My recent exploration of this natural masterpiece left me deeply impressed by its sheer spectacularness and diverse ecosystems.

From the moment you arrive, the park's dramatic allure envelops you. Towering limestone peaks, aptly nicknamed "The Mountain with Three Hundred Peaks," pierce the sky, their ancient faces etched with the tales of time. Sunlight dances across these imposing cliffs, casting a mesmerizing play of light and shadow. Lush vegetation cloaks the lower slopes, creating a vibrant emerald counterpoint to the stark stone. This verdant haven pulsates with the calls of exotic birds and the rustle of unseen creatures, hinting at the rich biodiversity waiting to be discovered.

Then, there's the sea. The azure expanse of the Gulf of Thailand unfolds before you, lapping against pristine beaches and whispering secrets in the gentle breeze. The contrast between the rugged cliffs and the serene waters is captivating, a visual poem painted in turquoise and emerald hues. Kayak through the tranquility of Bueng Bua freshwater marsh, a haven for migratory birds and exotic flora. Immerse yourself in the vibrant greens of the mangrove forests, teeming with life and echoing with the symphony of unseen creatures.

Khao Sam Roi Yot's beauty extends beyond the captivating landscapes. It's a treasure trove of hidden gems waiting to be unearthed. Explore the Tham Phraya Nakhon Cave, a hidden sanctuary adorned with a royal pavilion and bathed in ethereal sunlight filtering through a hidden ceiling opening. Hike through dense jungle trails, encountering ancient temples and waterfalls veiled by cascading foliage. Climb to the summit of Khao Daeng, the park's highest peak, and be rewarded with panoramic vistas that stretch as far as the eye can see.

Whether you're an intrepid adventurer seeking thrilling hikes and spelunking expeditions, or a nature enthusiast yearning for quiet moments of reflection amidst serene beauty, Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park has something for you. It's a place to reconnect with the raw power and unadulterated beauty of nature, to feel the rhythm of the earth beneath your feet, and to breathe in the essence of a unique and wondrous ecosystem. So pack your bags, lace up your boots,

We really enjoyed our one day visit of Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park. Entrance fee is 200 thb/person. In the morning we visited beautiful wood broadwalk (approx 1,8 km walk there and back) and took one hour boat ride. There were way more birds to see than from the broadwalk. The boat costs 500 thb/boat (not person). After that we went to Phraya Nakhon Cave. We park at the Bang Pu beach (20 thb) and then walked approx 2 km. It's steep trail but doable even when hot. We saw monkeys and monitor lizard on the way there.

The Thai National Park arranged our taxi for the day, we received excellent service in a beautiful, clean Toyota SUV. Had a swim at the gorgeous Laem Sala Beach to cool off before and after the trek to the cave.
We took the arduous route to the Phraya Nakhon Cave. Took the trip back by boat for 200Bhat, well worth it.
We had lunch, skipped the canal tour and viewpoint. The Sam Phraya Beach seemed nice but the water was too rough to swim that day.
The Bueng Bua Boardwalk was well maintained. The lotus were beautiful, we saw lots of fish, birds and flowers.
Wonderful trip❤

This is so beautiful and a must do when you are in / around Hua Hin. From the parking it is a hike of approximately 2 km. It is difficult but when having a normal condition you should be able to manage. You will have some nice views during the climb. Halfway there is a restaurant if you need a rest. When the weather is good there are also boats that bring you from the start to the restaurant but we did not have that luck. From the restaurant the road is not getting any better but when you are finally in the cave it was definitely worth your effort.

Bueng Bua in Khao Sam Roi Yot national park is breathtakingly beautiful. A must visit if you're going to Khao Sam Roi Yot. It's a bit of a drive from the park's main entrance HQ. It's actually closer to Pran Buri district side.
You can hire a boat tour at the marshland for 45 minutes, for 500 baht, to take you thru the fresh-water marshland, we chose to use the boardwalk since it's newly built
Unfortunately, there were very few lotus and water lilies remained, but there were plenty of birds around.
There's a watch-tower that you can go up to and see the 360 viewpoint.

Quiet and scenic with a "nice" hike to reach the cave. Well worth the hike!

This is a beautiful national park not far from Khao Yai. To get to the temple inside the cave, you pay a nominal park fee & have to take a long tail boat from the main entrance. If it’s in low tide, you will have to walk through muddy quicksand like conditions to get to the boat. There will be tons of lil tiny crabs crawling around the sand and you’ll encounter sand dollars & sea cucumbers (watch your step so you don’t accidentally squish one of these!)

Then you hike into the cave. It’s a pretty easy hike (I did it with flip flops) This temple has been around since Rama V escaped a storm. The remains of a Venerable Monk is there too. If you’re there at the right time of the day, sunlight shines on the temple from the hole above.

I was there on a long weekend holiday and the park was not so crowded. I suggest bringing lots of water and may be energy bars if planning to climb. The beach is very big but muddy so take off shoes. The restrooms are not great. The park itself is well maintained and I enjoyed the boat ride.

Wonderful visit.... Walk rocky path 450 mts then walk along the beach before walking up again for another 30 mins rocky path again to the cave. The cave is beautiful and peaceful. Along the path to the cave you will see lovely monkeys. It is recommended to keep silent and not to disturb them. The walk can be very challenging although when dry it might be slippery... To avoid if raining. Plenty of water a towel if you sweat a lot (you can have a shower after the cave visit) restaurant and eatery available. Bring a hat. Shorts or hiking pants and dry fit t-shirt.

Beautiful park with dramatic mountain scenery. We visited during a particularly hot and humid day. Drink and bring plenty of water along with a willingness to hike. The walk up the mountain as soon as you enter the park is a bit strenuous but you will be rewarded with some dazzling cave views.

Thailand does national parks very well... Khao Sam Roi Yot is no exception. Some mobility challenges here as getting to and from the caves require moderate fitness, good shoes, and grit. Beaches and parks are clean, well marked, and signs posted in Thai /English. Every park has something unique to offer. Park entrance fees help maintain the natural beauty and facilities. If you're tired of all the other usual touristy places.. consider this park.
Thumbs up!

Amazing experience. If you aren’t an experienced scooter driver I highly recommend renting a car. The park is wonderful and worth the hour drive from Hua Hin. This pin is to the visitor center where you can walk in the mangroves with monkeys! The women there can give you a map of the park and recommendations. 10/10 you have to do this when going to Hua hin!

Super scenic. A wonder of Thailand no doubt. Need to check out the temple in the cave. I recommend walk the way there then take a boat back for only 200 baht per couple. The park is huge you can spend a long time there. If lucky you'll see some spectacular wildlife too.

The National Park itself hosts a range av places to visit. 200 baht for entrance, and you can go to whatever places you'd like for one day. There is cave-temples, viewpoints, the dam with Lotus flowers etc. You need some kind of vehicle to get around.

A beautiful national park less than 4 hour-drive from Bangkok. The park fee for foreigners is 200 baht and 40 baht for Thai citizens. This fee will get you to all the landmarks of the park including beach parks, cool caves, and viewpoints. I highly recommend this place for hikers and outdoor activities. The beach is much less crowded but quite shallow compared to Cha-Am beaches.

The great national park from a collection of parks Thailand has to offer. It is very close to Hua Hin; like an hour drive.

The park has different areas and you should allocate good few hours if you want to cover what this place has to offer.

After you enter the main gate you have a beautiful walk on a wooden deck around the mangrove trees, a good tip would be to go up in spots that you see stairs in order to see their location from a little bit above.

There are a couple of different Long Table cruises which you can join. One of which is a long tail drive that takes an hour to cruise through lotus flowers plantation. And another one that will take you to a sort of a Fishermans village.

You can also arrange and have different tracks my foot climb and also enter a cave
