Namkhong Riverside Hotel

Rooms are clean. Good location. Nice views from room. Rooms rates starts from 800 bahts.

Here again in 2023, cannot fault this place. In ten years of visiting Chiang Khong, Namkong Riverside has never disappointed me or my fellow travellers. Previous reviews: Affordable, comfortable and this place has very attentive staff. The restaurant food is very nice and the view across the mighty Mekong is first rate. Highly recommended.
Still highly recommended in 2019. Once again recommended in 2022. I still prefer this place over the other similar accommodation and riverview restaurants in Chiang Khong.

Friendly staff, great view of riverside, clean room. Bar and restaurant on site, and lots of places within easy walk. Massage, Thai food, and even a great little place with Mecican.

One word of caution.. No elevator.. There are some rooms on street level (3 rd floor) and if you need handicap request on booking.

All in all, if you are coming to go across to Laos or just visiting this is a good choice to stay.

I have been in Chiang Khong a month now. And I walk often and everywhere. I have eaten at many reasaurants here. While the food elsewhere hasn't been better than it is here, it is the staff here, their friendly and positive attitude that keeps bringing me back here.

The grounds were very well maintained and the views of the Mekong from the room, on your own balcony were lovely.

Such a nice place and beautiful hotel. I would recommand this hotel. It is a reasonable price. This is a exactly riverside hotel. We can stand at the balcony and see the river. Also I could see Lao at the balcony.

My five stars are for the food and the service and the restaurant itself with that view. Good to me means it can't be better. And good it is here!
