Wat Pho Chai

The gorgeous and famous temple in Nongkhai (Thailand), it has a long history about buddha image (Pha sai). First of all, there was established by the Lao princess. Unfortunately, it was unsuccessful at first time so, a princess has announced the post for help. Then, a lot of buddhist nuns appeared to assist the princess and built the 3 buddha images including Pha Souk, Pha Sern and Pha Sai so, it is able to say these buddha images that made from the women. After that, In Laos has the war thus, they took three buddha images to cross the Mekong River, two buddha has fallen into the river (I am not sure what happened next?). Highly recommended to pay respect!

Beautiful, my better half is Buddhist and this is her temple, I was honoured to be part of it, well worth a visit even if you are only a tourist ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Wat Pho Chai is a unique temple that has numerous amulets available for devotees for blessings from famous monks. Wonderful atmosphere within the temple vicinity.

I visited the temple on a Friday evening of September 2019.It was a quiet evening when visitors parked their cars in the parking area in front of the ordination hall to pay respect to Luang Pho Phra Sai, the famous Buddha image. The atmosphere today reminds me of recent important events during the so-called Buddhist ‘s lent period.Today you can witness the remnants of an event in the hall. I sat in front of Luang Pho Phra Sai and made three times of “Kraab” gesture and calmly recited the Shinabanshorn prayer. The practice took me to a moment of concentration. It reminded me of the noble truth :Suffering; Causes of suffering; State of ridding of causes of suffering;the eight fold noble paths to get rid of the cause of suffering.
