Coral Bungalows

My stay at Coral has been the highlight of my month long, first-time trip to Thailand. The location is stunning. The restaurant patio and adjacent pool are literally right on top of the beach. The grounds are a glorious botanical garden full of orchids and lotus with mango and papaya trees swaying in the breeze. I can't comment on the full menu as I fell in love immediately with the burmese curry, though they also had the best calamari I have ever encountered. The true stars of my whole experience were the staff who welcomed me as if a long-lost friend and bid farewell as if I were family. I won't forget these wonderful people and will be back to visit as soon as I can. If you are looking for a party but want more privacy than a hostel offers, you would do well at Coral around the full moon. If you want serenity and calm, you would do well at Coral between the full and half moon. If you want it all, just book a fortnight. 😉

Best place to stay if you’re in budget. All night pool party with private beach. Very good food in the restaurant.

Coral Bungalows is an excellent place if you are coming to Koh Phangan for full moon party as haad-rin beach is 5 minutes walk away from Coral. Secondly, they have the cheapest food in town and great atmosphere.

Just leaving Coral today, best food, lovely people! And non stop good vibes and big Chang’s 🙏 island travel very easy with mopeds and ferries to neighbouring islands go most days

Coral was great. The food is good and cheap, the drinks too. The rooms are clean and cool, basic but functional. It’s no longer a party place unless it’s the Full Moon party but there’s still great people to meet there and grab drinks with. It’s a 15 minute walk along the gorgeous beach to Haad Rin. The staff make this place! Warm and welcoming, they’re happy to chat or leave you in peace. Sol is the man, Jack will tell you of the beauty of Burma, David will always remember your drinks order, Patrick is always smiling and Honey is just the sweetest (no pun intended). The people next door had a wee problem with their shower and were moved immediately to a new room. We had no problems ourselves! Don’t come here expecting luxury and snobbery or kids activities. Come here if you want to be made to feel like family in a place far from home with all the kindness, wholesome food and shared drinks (alcoholic or not!) that come with it. Next time I’m back on Koh Phangan, this is the first place we’re headed.

Very affordable room. Was basic but beds were comfortable, 2 big fans on the ceiling over the beds or upgrade to aircon (fans were more than enough)

At this time a fan room is 300 baht between 2 people and aircon was 500 so super cheap for a place to stay.

Food, beer was awesome and super well priced. 200 baht buckets all night and massage for 150 baht (half the price of anywhere else) so you can enjoy all the finer things. They also sell spliff 40 baht small and 200 big.

The pool was awesome, unlike other pools it stays cool so doesn't feel like jumping in an out a jacuzzi.

Area was nice and quiet, we were like 200m away from a beach party so within walking distance but without the noise.

Staff were cool too. Lookout for Jack. He was very accommodating and well spoken. We might have overstayed our checkout but they were didn't hold our deposit.

Overall it was the best place to stay on a budget, because they have everything you need at really good prices and it's comfortable. We were all pretty surprised at our bill after spending the whole day at the pool ordering beers, cocktails and mixed drinks.

Had a fantastic 5 nights at Cora Bungalows. The staff here are incredibly welcoming, attentive and friendly- they really looked after us during our stay. The food from the restaurant is very good quality and cheap! I recommend the Burmese curry and the fried rice omelette.

Very friendly service. Very good prices.
Good& clean food. C.B. is directly at the beach, so you can join the sunset. They have also a nice pool. The rooms are older than the fancy-new Resorts, but clean&comfortable.
I will come again.

Excellent service from start to finish of our four night stay. Sol and his team were available, professional and on hand to help with any request at all times. highly recommend.

We had the best time, the service and the staff were incredible!!! The staff really brought so much character to the place. A special mention to Sol, Honey, Patrick and David, who left a long lasting impression on us ☺

We were genuinely sad to be leaving.

Good food, friendly staff, and good price. They have everything you need at this place, bikes, tours, massage, breakfast lunch and dinner.

Good location along a quiet road in haad rin, not too close to the full moon party but still close enough to walk.

They throw great pool party’s here on the nights of the full moon.

I really enjoyed staying at this place. The value for that what you pay is amazing. And especially the stuff is so kind and helpful! You feel like at home and invited me for a birthday with local Thai food and whisky. So don’t hesitate and book this place with those Lovely people, hopefully I see you soon again.

We stayed a few days here after full moon party, we got an airconned room, had a nice shower and loads of space for storage, you can pay 300bhat for a spare key and leave your aircon on for while you're out and about during the day which was a god send.

The staff were great, Sol & Jak made our stay so much better, they were always there and got things sorted straight away, including taxis, washing, food & drinks, even recommendations for things to do and see etc.

The location is great for full moon party, its a 15 minute walk away, 10 minutes to 7/11 up the roads and 10 minutes along to beach to the main strip of shops.

The only negatives were that food service was abit slow at times, we got charged for food we hadn't ordered and there are broken tiles along the bottom of the pool, which I and a few others managed to cut our feet on and has effected the last few days of our trip.

Probably the most scenic hotel I stayed in during my Thailand trip. It is nestled between the sea and the mountains. Not too far from Haadrin Beach.
The amenities were nice too.
At the same time we got it for a fairly cheap price.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and very affordable. I ate numerous times at the restaurant which served authentic and declicous thai food. I particularly liked the pad thai, chicken salad, fried rice filled omelet, and thai green curry. Amazing coconut shakes too made by a friendly staff member!

If you go to Koh phangan definitely stay in coral!!! I was staying there for 2 weeks! I couldn't leave this place - the staff are so kind and helpful and they became our family!
The place is on the beach and has a restaurant and great pool , laundry service and motorcycle renting and good massage.
The price is very fair and everything is really cheaper than the rest of the island. (We checked it) , so do you a favor and stay there without a doubt!!!❤❤

We had an amazing time at Coral Bungalows, the rooms were fantastic for the price paid as was the food from the restaurant.
The restaurant has a massive range in there menu at great prices.
I must say that the staff were the highlight of the stay and made our short trip there amazing. Amazing customer service and good friendly banter, especially from the two brothers (one was running reception-check-in & the other was in the restaurant/bar) though I forget there names?? The two of them are that good at there jobs I thought they were the owners/managers (they both deserve promotions)
I highly recommend this hotel and there service.

If you like parties.
This place is nice. Quite cheap and offer a big range of activities inside and outside the hotel.
The beach isn’t a swimming beach there is rocks everywhere like most beaches in Phangan.
There is a downside, pool close at 10 which isn’t a real problem but if you are been caught swimming on the extra hours you’ll be charge 6000(!!!) baht for each person! (Bargain able). The rooms next to the bar could get really loud till very late at night, you can move behind if you want something quieter (which I did)! Garden side is really quiet only roosters in the morning but the bungalow had no wardrobe.
There is an extensive menu with food from several different countries ( French, Mexican, Italian, Thai etc...)
Overall my stay was satisfyingly good.

Let me just preface this by saying that I made a lot of mistakes during my trip, but the manager Brian and one of the beautiful young women at the front desk helped me so much! It was past the time that the front desk had closed, and I had to leave on an early ferry to catch a flight. But I had completely forgotten to book a ride for the early morning! They called some people they knew and made the process so easy despite it being about 10 at night. After I left, I realized that I left my retainers in my bungalow! They were able to find them and ship them all the way to Korea where I live. Not only was their service amazing, but the people here really made me feel at home during my stay with a great atmosphere and delicious food. The pool was a nice place to hang out too. The hospitality here was unmatched and I would definitely stay again!

I was here with my 2 friends for fullmoon party. We got the big room for 3 persons the room was clean and big but I don't like the bed that make me sleep not so good with too soft and they have nothing in the room. No fridge, not provided water, nothing to use in bathroom only towels and they never clean my room too. But it's worth price so I don't complain anythjbg. Ac works fine and have 2 fans also. They restaurant was so nice. Not expensive and delicious. I invited other 2 friends more for dinner with us and they were impressed!!! They have also pool party and so on. A little bit far from Rin beach like 15-20 min by walk but u can rent there motorbike and it's the cheapest price ever in Samui!!!! Love there and highly recommend it
