Ratthaprasasanabhakti Building (Building B)

It is very nice building with most of government offices. I went for Immigration Division 1 for tourist visa extension. It has facilities of good security, quee ticketing, information center, kios, toilet etc. Staff are good, helpful and friendly.

Due to many quee, I just have to wait till evening. You can relax at hall and some coffee shop while waiting. There is food court and many food shops. There was free ferry to go out after tourist visa has been extended.

Save yourself a lot of trouble by getting a visa e-extension online. Although the website to upload information and documents wasn’t that easy to navigate through and sometimes unclear, the response came back quickly on the documents I needed to re-upload. The online approval was then received very quickly, and I just had to go to the immigration office at the scheduled date and time to get the stamp in my passport. I got to the office and got my passport stamped at exactly the time that was scheduled. No waiting required.

The cheapest way to get there is to take the 166 blue aircon bus in Victory Monument bus stop for only 22baht. It will take the expressway so the journey is around 30minutes.
I went there to renew my non-B visa and our school HR booked me online. It took only 15minutes for me to get a new stamp. I went directly to N1-45 Counter at 1pm and DONE ✅ in a flash. The visa is still 1900.00baht for one year.
I actually arrived more than two hours early so I used my time strolling in the ground floor wherein ALL, I mean all sorts of shops you can find not forgetting 7-Eleven and banks, as well. (5 April 2021)

Went in today for 30 day Visa extension. I had done the online document submission component beforehand. Today with my meeting time already set, I went straight to level 2 stamping office (right above ground office)

2 details that may help someone in the same boat. Had to supply a local phone number on tm7 form. Home country, roaming mobile number was not acceptable, however my hotel phone number was ok.

Also, when photocopying your already supplied passport and visa pages. These need to be actual size. Or they won’t be accepted. So best to photocopy. They can photocopy required documents at the office while submitting paperwork, there is a minimal charge for copies. I was in and out within 30 mins.

Huge area. Visited here for my wife’s visa extension on 28 August 2020 after “New Normal” style. Impressive!! The Immigration Police worked very efficiently;) We got the queue number 34 at 8:45am, while existing queue was just 2-3, we finished all around 11:30am. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I came to work in the building where is located far 1 k.m. from CheangWatana Road (you can go here by Free Shuttle bus or Motorcycle or Walking)
The day had special Market event in the Hall of the building

It's absolutely huge so bring an agent or a local to help you. Every bank is represented here and there are plenty food courts and shops to entertain during your waiting. Each exit has a nice smoking 🚬 area.

I got here by Grab but parking 🅿 seems limited. Plenty of sanitary areas available 🚽

Here is where you extend your TR60 for another 30 days. To extend a visa exempt stamp, go to IT Square Plaza (10min away by Grab).

Best practice (TR60 extension) 👇:

0. Prepare a copy of: Passport bio page, Entry stamp, TR60 visa stamp / paper. And x1 photo (passport-sized). Make a copy of everything in case of loss or error.

1. Arrive at 8.30am (opening time) at "Exit 2", this gate is right in front of the immigration office! 👍 You need to pass the security check at the entrance.

2. At the office, queue and get the TM.7 form (it comes with STM.2 & Visa Overstay Acknowledgement form). 👉To make it even faster, find & print these 3 forms online and fill it up at home.

3. Fill up the form and stick your photo as instructed. Prepare a pen and a glue! ⚠ There is a table outside of the office.

Note⚠: You don't need to photocopy the finished TM.7 form despite being told by the security, it's a waste of time and the officer won't need it. It's enough to just take a photo.

FYI: Photocopy shop is available downstairs.

4. Return to the office, enter the room at the back, and queue to get your number. You need to show your passport and the completed form. You will be called at Counter J later.

5. Done in 20min - 1 hour.

Well it’s not the funniest place you will visit here in Bangkok but it’s not as bad as people say I will give you my tips :

I have been here 3 time for the moment, immigration office open at 8.30 but even if you arrive at 7Am there will be a lot of people so take a queue ticket find the corresponding chair and wait, don’t forget to get up at 8.00AM for national anthem, at 8.20 the line will be made and you just have to follow instructions

Be nice smile say hello, thank you… everything and magically the staff will be nice with you
Don’t expect them to talk a long time with you, they see people like you and me all day 5 days a week and they have no time

If you arrive after 1pm I think you are very late and might not have your extension the same day, in that case don’t make a scene you should have come sooner !

The building is nice lot of things to do while waiting and chairs are not too bad

Be positive it’s not every day you come here, be nice and everything will be smooth

An amazing government building that is almost like a city unto itself. Plenty of coffee and eating options at the basement floor. Government staff are also very accommodating and pleasant.

Super giant building; impressive facilities especially on the basement with 3 big food courts, shops, health, dental and Thai herbal medicine clinics, supermarket, convenience store, coffee shops. Plentiful shops as if in a mall.

The building is really big, big parking lot outside and eassy access from main road. Its an effort by the gov to have a better and more professional services for citizens and foreigners and its a model for many other western countries on how to organize and serve. Interesting huge central patio surrounded but different gov departments.

Visa renewal, left home at 5:20 AM, took taxi to gate 2, Building 2 Ratthaprasasanabhakti, Government Complex, got No 50 in line and got No 36 for visa extension queue, done at 10:30 AM. Took another queue ticket for 90-day report got no. 214. It will probably finish at 2 pm. 😢

A good building with nice infrastructure. There is also a local market always inside the building.

Here to do visa. Long wait, but so is it in every country.

I applied for a 30 day extension for my 60 days tourist visa. The processing of the application was very fast.

Some things you have to consider:
1. You need the passports and you visa copies in the original passport size. I scanned it in initially with my phone and printed it in full a4 size. This was not accepted. But there is a copy store in the building where you can copy for 2 Baht per Page
2. you should wear some decent clothes. For example some people got reject because the wore sandals and shorts. I had normal shoes and a shirt on that was fine.
3. During lunch (from 12 to 1Pm) the whole office is on break. So you have to wait for one additional hour when you come before lunch time.

Some large, beautiful buildings that contain offices for all government departments, with food and retail stores also

I was actually shocked how quick i went through the immigration/registration process. About 2.5 hours total. Was mentally prepared for 4-8.

We visited the Immigration Office in order to get the visa extension. The wait was long through the day with a young child but all the respect for people who work there and provide services - even in a late evening after a long and tough day they are nice and still smile. The building itself is modern and spacious with many shops, cafes and food vendors.
