Nice and beautiful. Popular place for local people since 50 years ago or more than that. It’s a sea that so close to Bangkok and old people spent time for holiday and ballroom dance here. There’s a lot of seagull escaping from the cold Siberia and will back when Siberia get warm. Free parking and free entrance. Restaurant and souvenir services.

The Bang Pu Recreation Center in Bangkok is a haven for nature enthusiasts and bird watchers. Nestled along the Gulf of Thailand, this tranquil spot offers a serene escape from the city's bustle. The mesmerizing sight of migratory birds, especially during the winter months, making it a paradise for bird lovers and photographers. The wooden walkways and observation towers provide ideal vantage points to witness these winged visitors in their natural habitat. the stunning sunsets over the waters add an extra touch of beauty to this peaceful retreat, making it a must-visit for nature admirers seeking a calming and scenic experience near Bangkok.

So many birds 🦅 flying around and so many people feeding them so we started!! What a great experience!!

No tickets are needed to come here it isn’t far from Bangkok so we will go again!!

Just make sure that you know when the birds are there because that’s what makes it all exciting and fun and then you can go into the big building and then you can have food and beer and whatever you like and just watch the sunset it’s so amazing to be near the water!!

PLUS they have beer in food court ... haha

Birds are around and it’s nice to see them. You can feed them by throwing the snack into the sky.

I visited here often times when I was young. Seem nothing changed. Feb-May of every year there are many seagulls come here. They were evacuated from the China, Tibet where is very cold over there. In the evening, here is a nice place to come and see the sunset.

During the period from November to the end of April every year, more than 5,000 migratory birds fly from the Mongolian region, Tibet, Siberia, and China to this popular tourist destination. They come here to feed on pork cracking (กากหมู) that tourists commonly bring to feed the birds at this place. These migratory birds will stay here for approximately 6 months until they become plump, and then they will fly back to their original habitats.

The mangrove boardwalk and retention ponds area is a good place for bird photography and nature enthusiasts to learn about Thai nature conservation. There's a good and comfortable bird observation platform to see the many shore birds resting and foraging in one of the big retention ponds.

I reached this place at around 920am and was surprised to find that the mangrove area was already open despite the published opening time of 10am. About an hour by car from downtown Bangkok, this place can be crowded on weekends. There is a good number of eateries and cafes too.

This place is like a walkway or bridge stretching from coast to sea surrounded by mangrove forest in Samut Prakan Province. This place is a place I go to very often, 2-3 times a week. This place is a very good place to go with family or friends. You can take a walk and take in the beautiful scenery of the coast and especially in the evening. You will see a beautiful sunset with the horizon. During the winter, this place is very popular with thousands of seagulls that migrate from China and Siberia. You can feed those seagulls from the food that the staff sells. You just reach out with food in hand, those seagulls will fly close to your hand to pick up food. You can take pictures of this rare beauty. But you have to go at the right time. Those seagulls are abundant only in the early morning and late evening. You can also use this place for jogging and other exercises. You don't have to worry about parking, parking fees, restaurants, toilets and cleanliness, there's everything I mentioned above and there is no parking fee.

Love this place when cold weather!
Lot of seagulls.
Great atmosphere and walking on the bridge thru the sea.
Try to go there during winter season in Thailand.

In addition, there are so many great restaurants around there. Google it for the best restaurants.

And also, many attractions are around there as well.

In the future, BTS will be there as I know.
