Satun Pakbara SpeedBoat Club

Travelled on this Satun Pakbara SpeedBoat to & fr Telaga Terminal Langkawi to Koh Lipe, eventho we were sceptical at booking.
But everything went on smoothly & safely.

We were picked fr hotel ( depart) & sent to hotel (arrival) promptly.

Telaga terminal has no eatery ( maybe not open during the Ramadhan month) but there is a petrol station convenience store next door. There is a toilet but not sure of the condition.

SpeedBoat is ok, packed on both ways but bearable. Relatively clean & life jackets are visible to all.
There are ppl ard to help with kids & whoever requires assistance to board the boat. The journey was relatively breeze and fast.

Upon nearer to Koh Lipe, we were transported to a wooden long boat for a less than 5 mins journey.

Passport
To Koh Lipe- passport was kept by whoever and upon arrival at island, the PIC will call by country for immigration checks. Malaysia was the last country being called. Noticed they prioritise westerners first ! (But maybe coincident ??)

From Koh Lipe, our passports were returned on the boat by the staffs - also same method, calling by countries and then passing the passport around. For Malaysian that day, passengers go thro each stack of every Malaysian passport , as there are many Malaysian that day on board.

Had a seamless ride from koh Lanta to koh lipe . No bumps or anything, I could even eat in peace at the boat. Comfortable and fast 💗

We took this speed boat on the 31/7 and i can say it was the most exciting and fun boat ride I've been on. 4 people vomited, people were being thrown out of their seats, drinks spilling everywhere and I have only rated 5 stars cause I could not rate any higher!! I had a good laugh watching everyone struggle with the choppy waters. Would definitely recommend!! Can't wait for the return journey!

Good fast reliable service with good quality life vests and good customer service for luggage

The boat ride was busy but we got what we paid for and can’t complain. We lost a hoodie on the way to Koh Phi Phi on one of the boats and when we returned to Phuket 3 days later we asked if they had it and they went above and beyond to find it. So so helpful and nice and smiley, really good experience with them

Everyone was really kind and helpful! It’s a very convenient service, we went straight from the airport, driven right up to the boat dock and then had a quick 1.5 hr boat ride to our hotel on Koh Lipe. Great service!

We used Satun Pakbara Speedboat company from Koh Lanta to Koh Lipe and was very apprehensive about what we were about to encounter after reading many bad reviews .
This is why I felt I had to write a review,
we booked our tickets online whilst in England an easy process .
The night before we were due to use them , they messaged us to see if we would like to be picked up from our hotel to be taken to Saladan . This was unexpected but a great start .
The pick up was 9-25 from our hotel on long beach , the guy was early and managed to get all of our 8 passengers, and 8 suitcases on the Songthew and there was another 2 passengers with luggage and we all got on .
Check in was easy , well organised and great , the guys got all our luggage on the boats we were given stickers with where we were getting off .
We set off late but that was due to passengers arriving late not SPSC ‘s fault .
The journey was smooth and I’m really scared of the water and I would go as far as to say the journey was pleasant .
We stopped off at Koh Mook where people got off and on and then carried on to Koh Lipe .
When we arrived there the guys helped us off with our luggage and I can say all in all it was a great experience, one that I was dreading but Saturn Pakbara were great .
We used another speedboat company on the way home as we were going to Trang and Saturn don’t do that journey and it was awful .
I think a lot of it all depends on how rough the sea is on the day , after experiencing a calm day going and a rough day coming back .
I think a lot of the speedboat companies get bad reviews but it’s not always the fault of the speedboat company but more how your journey is . Our return journey was awful , very bumpy and really really frightening but like I said that’s something out of the speedboat company’s hands . It was the weather .

While there are a lot of negative reviews, my experience with them was good. everything went as per schedule

Young but experienced and skilful boatmen who know how to steer the boat to avoid the roughest waters. My trip to and from Ko Lipe was an experience. Very rough seas at this time of the year but the boatmen did a great job.

Boats are in good shape and staff is professional. Used them twice (Pak Bara to Koh Lipe and Koh Lipe to Koh Mook) - everything went very smoothly

Beautiful location and amazing home made food.. Start with a bruschette al pomodoro and go on with gnocchi or ravioli filled with precious fish.. After a Good mix fried seafood dish can taste the Best home made chocolate cake... Mmmmm mm so Good.. Come to try and never go away from here..
