Common Grounds Pai

I had such a great time staying at Common Grounds!!! Staff is very helpful, talkative and friendly; property is clean and rooms/beds are super comfy (the showers could need a little renovation but fairly OK). The common area on the covered terrace is just a great place to hang out and chill, and the bar serves good coffee and smoothies! I'm so happy I booked there, will come again for sure!!

Super friendly staff, clean rooms and restrooms. Nice activities and live music. Definitely one of my favorite hostels I stayed in so far! Would love to come back anytime!

I loved it so much I stayed twice!! The staff are so nice, and welcoming. The arts and crafts activities are so much fun. Really felt like a home away from home. The only thing I’d change are the mattresses, they are not the most comfortable, but the rest of it makes up for it! Panda the hostel dog is super cute too!

Hands down the best hostel I've ever stayed at, right in the centre of walking street yet quite enough to relax, the facilities and staff are fantastic with great daily events. The bar has live music in the evening with some incredible musicians - best vibes guaranteed will absolutely be coming back!

literally my favourite hostel ive stayed in, the private rooms where clean and beautiful and so comfy.
incredible location down the road from everything including the bus station. loved the outdoor seating and social area and all the activities organised everyday were amazing for meeting people.
the staff were the best ive had, so welcoming and ready to help with anything, felt like my freinds by the end of my stay! want to come back already!

The best hostel I've stayed in during my travels of SE
Asia. The hostel is just off the walking street and there's always something going on whether that be live music, tours, sunset trips or arts classes. The hostel is a perfect mix of chilled but there will also people wanting to go out if you want to. What really makes it though is the people that work there, all of them are amazing! In particular, Zeen, Dto and Yous. They truly made my time in Pai incredible, came for 3 nights and stayed for the majority of my 3 week trip, that tells you everything. Was very sad to leave but know I'll be back :)

Absolutely loved staying here, one of my favourite hostels in Thailand. Staff were warm and welcoming 24/7. You can relax or join the activities to make friends or go out with the staff in the evening. The rooms are spacious and clean and the location is perfect. Couldn't recommend enough!

If I could rate them with 10 stars I would. I’m in love with this place and it’s people.

They say you can easily get stuck in the Pai hole, I could say I got stuck in the Common Grounds hole. I extended 11 times, so I stayed almost 3 weeks. Such a nice place, amazing staff, comfy rooms and beds, daily free activities, fun nights, very good music playlists and live music.

The best thing was how easily you bond with the staff there, and how you get to know a lot of people that is living in Pai. Really cool community that shows you the best life in Pai.

It’s by far the best place I have stayed in as a solo-traveler, and it will stay in my heart forever.

Really enjoyed my time at common grounds. Lovely staff & volunteers, and they’ve got regular events to meet fellow travellers, including an evening sunset visit.

Close to walking street (basically next door) which has loads of food and drink stalls every night.

Great location, perfect chilled vibe but easy to socialise. Four bed dorms with bathroom inside are great. Would 100 recommend if you don’t want crazy party but you might want the option!

I cannot say enough good things about this hostel. They make you feel like family from the start. They learn your name and use it throughout your stay. They check in with you and make sure to include you in activities, of which there are many to join in. There’s a weekly BBQ that is STACKED with good food, even veg options, and it’s super affordable. The LIVE MUSIC is fire.
The rooms are spotless, great AC, nice bathrooms and good music all the time. The service is 5 star and the people are 10 star.

stayed here 4 nights, wish i stayed longer! facilities/rooms are cleaned well. staff is really friendly. location is right on walking street, really close by to everything. social hostel with free water refills!! :-)

Not your usual hostel. Focused on creativity and music. A monument in Pai if you plan on staying a few nights. Owners are very funny and friendly. Staff super attentive and they offer unique tours and activities.

Just the mosquito net in the private room was a nightmare to put on, we didn't use it.

Very nice hostel. My only complaints are that there is no breakfast or 24/7 attendant. It is difficult to get your key deposit back if you have an early bus to catch

I met some wonderful people there! I felt good there from the first moment! Live music, security and great respect for the occupants! I recommend :)

A hostel that truly feels like home 🫶 I’ve made many lifelong connections here over the years! The private room feels like a safe haven where you can get some down time. And the downstairs area was perfect for working on my computer and being able to feel focused...But then just a few steps away into the common area, I can work alongside others and connect with lovely people 😊 super cosy vibes, great wifi, and the owner / all staff are super friendly and lovely! It's also in an awesome location to explore Pai from!

The atmosphere at this hostel is perfect! I’ve met lots of people and friends here. The place was clean and my bed was comfortable. However, all the rooms were mixed but I didn’t have any problems with my roommates they were fine no weirdos or anything like that.
Every evening people would gather together and go bar hopping, that’s when you really get to party. In other worlds I really enjoyed the stay and meeting new people over there was super fun too. I was the first person from Kazakhstan that stayed at the hostel 🙌🏻

I absolutely could not be happier with my stay here. They are so welcoming and kind here, staff and guests alike. Its a very social hostel, despite being an occasional introvert I had no trouble making friends and never went on an adventure alone unless that is what I wanted. The common area is lovely and my private room was absurdly nice, complete with hot shower, a nice view, and a sweet loft. Bar crawls every night, so I had the choice of going out and enjoying the night life or staying in and enjoying the silence so I could rest up in preparation for the next days adventures. Best of both worlds.
