Fern Resort

The stay at the Fern Resort was very good. Beautiful spacious room (cottage) in beautiful surroundings. The welcome was very friendly and all employees are very helpful. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and many butterflies fly there. The breakfast and food in the restaurant were also of good quality.

We had an amazing stay at Fern Resort and would recommend it to anyone passing through the area.
The resort is beautifully situated in a lush and well-kept jungle environment. The two pools were clean and staff was ready to help with any requests.
The rooms were large and clean - maybe a little bit outdated. We didn’t mind this as everything worked just fine.

The only downside is the fact that farmers lighting their fields on fire meant that the air was heavy with smoke - as if you’re standing next to a campfire. We would love to return some day to enjoy some fresh air!

Great hotel. Actually the best hotel that we visited on our Northern Thailand trip. The hotel is located in a secluded area, which is great as you will find yourself in the middle of the jungle that creates a relaxing environment. The staff is great and the the bungalows are equipped with all necessities like air-conditioning, a fridge and a great bed not too hard not too soft. Mea Hong Son is only a ten minutes drive away from the city. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed for three nights and we are definitely coming back.

Such a beautiful, serene place, from the property to the staff to the other guest to the resort dogs.

A good breakfast ; eggs to order, fruit, toast, juices, sausage, and selection of Thai dishes. Buffet style in the restaurant.

Dinner one night in the restaurant - good selection with typical prices - $150 bht typical entree. All meals were very well prepared, attentive service.

The beds were firm (normal SE Asia style), but pillows were soft. We slept well

Both pools are nice, with the sunset, neg edge pool being the sunnier, warmer of the two.

Yes, the resort has a few dings, scratches, and chips (like me). It makes it all the more classic and soulful.

A Shan lady by the name of Mon gave me the most amazing hard Thai massage and would come back just for that experience again.
I stayed in the suite. Beautifully made and kept.
Staying 2 nights here if you are doing the loop would be a well spent rest.
No wonder Brad and Angelina kept coming back.

Large room, great AC, comfy beds... But what's best about this hotel is the location of this place and the incredible lighting all across, simply beautiful at night. One of my favorite hotels and at such a good price point too. While I was eating a few cute dogs were out and about guarding the place, sometimes going to check the bushes. But they were well raised, they did not beg for food even once! What also surprised me is the low amount of mosquitos or other insects at this place. Had expected quite some considering the place has rice paddies as part of the landscape.

The service here is good, people speak English quite well.

There's an infinity pool with an amazing view which will surely get you all the likes you dreamed of on Instagram. After hours on a motorcycle a pool has never felt more welcome...

You're not gonna be disappointed when booking this place, I promise. I've mostly been in A-name 300eur a night hotels in Thailand, but this hotel is what I'll remember the most.

Came here for one night and stayed an extra night as it was so lovely! Such a beautiful, tranquil place. So peaceful, everything is perfect. Staff so friendly. The pictures really don’t do this place justice

Spent two nights at this wonderful resort. Loved every minute of it. The beautiful landscaped gardens, the staff and food was 1st class. You could spend much more in lesser quality hotels.

Fern Resort is set in the beautiful countryside ..its very tranquil in and around the resort.
The staff are very friendly and the room huts are spacious and very clean!
Location wise, it's about 15minute drive from Mae Hong Son.

Quiet scenic location. The rooms are clean and well equipped. The infinity pool has excellent views of their garden. I would definitely stay here again.

This place is exactly what you're looking for if you're looking for a quiet oasis in the mountains of Thailand. It's filled with old giant trees with hanging vines. There are streams, crickets, and probably frogs I haven't heard yet. It is such a dream place to be. The staff are amazing and always here to help.

The place is à little bit out of the city but just enough to have quiet nights. Everyone here is at your service, and with a smile! It's like we are in the middle of the jungle but in a luxury way. I really recommend this place. Thanks for everything.

Stayed here as part of a Tuk Tuk Club tour. Enjoyed the stay here very much. Rooms were clean. The atmosphere of the resort feels very much like a 'resort'. Staff was super friendly!

Resort has the best location in Mae Hong Sorn. It is so natural and peaceful atmosphere. Room is clean and a lot of space. Staffs are local villagers who are very nice and friendly. Three guest relation dogs are so cute and smart.

We only stayed over one night at this lovely hotel but wished it could have been longer. The facilities, staff and service was exceptional and I would highly recommend!

A stunning location in northern Thailand. Such a tranquil rainforest setting. The infinity pool overlooking the rice fields is stunning. A great place to relax and watch the sun go down. The staff were friendly and helpful. A 10 minute motorbike ride to Mae Sariang which has fun night markets. We did the hike through the National Park, where we could swim below beautiful waterfalls. We stayed 3 nights at Fern, and that should be the minimum stay as it's such a tranquil location. The rooms are a little dated, but very clean. A mini fridge in the room would have been useful. The aircon wasn't the best, but fortunately the weather isn't very hot in December.

Stunningly set amongst a lush river valley between sunrise and sunset. A genuine piece of Thai heaven. Wonderful staff complete the picture. Highly recommended.

Staff was amazing, good food, awesome swimming pool!

If you want a stunning setting to unwind stay here. We stayed in a creekside cottage with the sound of the creek to put us to sleep in the evening. Turn the AC off and open the screen door to let the cool jungle air pull into the room. The rooms are not of a 5 star hotel but well appointed. No tv or land line phones in the rooms to enhance relaxation. We have AIS cellular service and no trouble with reception. There is a hiking trail, yoga classes, beautiful grounds and gardens to explore and two swimming pools. Airport pick up from Mae Hong Son airport was free and a shuttle into town for the evening market/walking street is available. Highly recommended.
