Privacy Resort Koh Chang

We have just completed a 2 night stay at privacy resort. Steve and lily were great hosts. Rooms were big and really clean with a comfy bed. Breakfast was great there was a couple different options available. The resort is on the quiet side of the island and a great base to explore for a couple days. The pool was lovely and as we were the only people there at the time we used it late in the evening too. There are a couple of restaurants literally 2 min drive, baan kafe which is really great and really cheap, slightly smaller portions or the Ronnie's organic more expensive but big portions and great taste too with more options available. Steve was a great help in recommending things to do and was great to chat to him each morning at breakfast,. couldn't have asked for more

We stayed almost two weeks there and it was lovely! It is on the quiet side of the island so it was perfect for us! Nice and quiet, clean and friendly staff! definently recommended!

Super clean and really beautiful rooms!
The owners Steve (from New Zealand) and his wife lily are super nice and will help you out with anything they can. The breakfast is delicious, only thing was, the coffee wasn’t perfect for my taste, but that wasn’t too bad, and tastes are different ;)
I really recommend staying there if you‘re on the east side of koh Chang and want to have a relaxing time :)

The host and his wife are fantastic people. They are friendly and helpful. The bungalow is super clean with a spacious , comfortable bed , fridge, etc. It is located in a beautiful picturesque setting. Island of tranquility .Super pool. Beautiful garden with colorful butterflies .The breakfast is very delicious and plentiful. There are several dishes to choose from. I can only recommend .

Very beautifull and clean place. The bungalows look lovely and are spacious. Very peacefull athmosphere. The owners, Steve and Lilly are very nice, friendly and ready to help with any requests. We trully recomand this place if you want to relax.

I stayed here back in 2019 before the pandemic, during all of this down time I have made a goal of writing reviews of places that were beyond exceptional. This is one of those places. My stay here was nothing short of amazing. I have spent many months traveling all over Thailand and this is by far one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. The owners are super kind and they make you feel like family from the moment you arrive--they go above and beyond. The breakfasts were delicious, the pool was super clean, and the garden was so beautiful. Could go on and on about how fantastic this place is (especially for the price), if you are on Koh Chang I 100% recommend staying here. Hope I can return here once the pandemic is under control.

Lily and Steve are very nice hosts.
It is a beautiful bungalow complex with pool in the southeast of Koh Chang.
Scooter rental is also available.
Breakfast is also offered.
The service is top and the bungalows are cleaned regularly.
We felt very comfortable at all times.

That was my first, but certainly not my last visit! Steve & Lily were excellent hosts, they have the perfect tips for the island for every taste, and there are quite a few of them.
The resort is located on the quiet but even more beautiful side of KC. If you want to come down, this is the place to be. Perfect support for arrival and departure shuttle, and in my case even a very cordial and caring medical care (Steve & Lily, thanks again!!!).
The scooters are well maintained and should be booked at the same time due to the quiet location. I am looking very forward to the next time!

Small hotel with individual bungalows. Located up on the hillside in the jungle, not on the beach. Rooms were big, very clean, looked like newly re-modelled and in very good condition. Furnishings were basic, but everything worked. Well manicured gardens surrounding the rooms - beautiful setting. Good breakfast. The staff/hosts were very responsive and helpful with local recommendations.

My most favourite Resort on Koh Chang. Stayed there with girlfriend and parents. This place has it all, from owners who really care for their guests and well being, to a nice breakfast, comfortable rooms and last but not least a gang of cute pets :) From the very beginning Steve and Lily sorted everything we threw at them (and it was a lot considering I had my parents over for a visit) without so much as a single complaint and to our fullest satisfaction. Additionally, Steve knows Koh Chang well and will give you his honest advise on virtually anything. Lily is a great host and makes sure their guests don't lack anything. Both went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable!
Make sure to understand this is the remote and seculded part of the Island - we loved it - but you might want to check with Steve on ways of getting around before arriving there. We rented a car, motorbike or taxis are an option too.
All in all, having lived 5 years in Thailand this was one of my best stays on a Thai Island and Privacy Resort will be my first address when returning to Koh Chang. Chapeau Steve and Lily and thanks again for everything!

It’s been a while that we stayed in Private resort with our toddler twins. Steve and Lili are fantastic hosts. They put a lot of effort to make you feel at home. The resort is located in a calm part of the island. Every morning they serve a very nice breakfast.

Besides a good hosts, Steve is a excellent teacher too. He taught me how to drive a motor. With the motor you can discover the whole island. Near to the resort you can find some restaurants. The kids loved Lili. Even after 8 months they talk and ask about her on a regular base.

Next time when we are in Thailand again, I’d definitely visit this place again.

Cannot recommend more highly! Superior location compared with the busy side of the island. Stunning location and easily enough to do in that area for a few days stay if you have your own car or bike. Excellent quality bungalows for the price, lovely pool and yummy breakfast. Thank you Khun Lily and Steve...see you next time.

Very nice resort, quiet and beautiful. Full of flowers and plants. Everything clean. Friendly owner, kindly suggested me a good breakfast for a cheap price. Always ready to help with any questions.

Beautiful place to stay, vely calm and quiet with awesome company of 2 cats and 1 dog. Staff very helpful and family atmosphere among all attendants. View is nice, perfect place for exploring east part of Island and enjoy completely lone beaches.

Great hosts and breakfast is excellent..relaxing bungalows with garden and swimming pool. Steve and Lily know many things to do and see on Koh Chang and island life.

Ośrodek położony przy końcu spokojnej czesci wyspy, tej "prawdziwej", gdzie mieszkają lokalni rolnicy i rybacy. Pozdrawiam Steve i Lily właścicieli, którzy bardzo dbają o swoich klientów i cały resort. Co prawda lokalizacja nie jest w pierwszej lini od morza z dostępem do plaży, ale bierzecie od Steva skuter i jedziecie na plaże typu "raj na ziemi" jak long beach lub memorial, dzikie z białym piaskiem, bez turystów i resortów. Obok Steava macie najlepszą kawe w tajlandii z włąsnej plantacji w Ban Kafae@Koh Chang, jest też kilka fajnych restauracji w wioskach rybackich jak Salak Phet Seafood & Resort i zaskakująca piekarnio-kawiarnia Aoy's Little Farm & Bakery prowadzona przez Norwega. Pokoje bardzo czyste jak również basen , w którym można popływac wieczorem. Całość jest czarująca i otoczona przyrodą, można poczuć się jak w kolorowej dźungli. Resort przypomina mi ośrodki z wyspy Bali. Steve jest bardzo pomocny, sprzeda Ci wszystkie potrzebne informacje o ciekawych miejcach, zadzwoni po rezerwacje łodzi na nurkowanie i odpowie na każde pytanie. Za obłsługe trzeba dac 6 gwiazdek , bo 5 to za mało :)
