One of the most impressive waterfalls nearby! You can swim in it a bit although it isn’t deep! If you fancy swimming I’d go to another one! But it is the biggest and has an amazingly nice hike! There is a bathroom near the start that is ok. Also I would recommend sorting a taxi back before you get there as there is no service in the area!

This was one of my favourite excursions while in Chiang Rai. The scooter ride through the little village up to the parking lot was really authentic. The walk itself was not too difficult. Upon arriving at the waterfall you see why people make the effort to see it! It's really pretty. The dip in the little pool was chilly at first but super refreshing. Bring a towel, a change of shorts and something to wear on your feet in the water (it's rocky). Cool experience most definitely worth doing.

Free entrance, good maintained paths. Leads to a stunning waterfall. Also possible to go in the water and feel the force of the waterfall (it is cold!).
Beautiful nature. Parking and toilets provided near the start of the trail. Perfect for a morning trip away from Chiang Rai. It was a 30-35 min drive by motorbike.

The trail was really nice. Entrance to the park is for free and parking lot is quite big. Toilets are nearby but not clean at all. From the parking lot to the waterfall it's approx. 30 min walk a little bit uphill. It's not challenging trail but I wouldn't wear slippers. We saw many different butterflies on our way with gorgeous colors. Be avare of green snakes, but we haven't seen any. On the otjer hand we saw two giant spiders - big as man's hand. Waterfall at the end of the trail is quite big and beautiful. It's worth a visit.

Great hike, did it in the earlier part of day so it was comfortable. You can get in the water at the base of the falls, but its a small space. Very few people are there if you go early. I went with two friends and we only saw two other people before 10am.

Great day trip from Chiang Rai => free entrance!

Definitely worth coming here for a day trip from Chiang Rai, and you can plan to stop at Singha Gardens on the way.
We came during the crazy busy year-end holiday period, and yet the waterfall was still relatively quiet, we crossed paths with a few Thai and foreign groups on the way to and from the waterfall, but it was never busy, in fact we were at the waterfall with only a handful other people.
It's a leisurely ~3km round trip walk from the parking lot, the signs on the trailhead say 1.2km each way, but it's a bit further than that. Some areas are a bit narrow and involve stepping on stones across small creeks, but it's nothing strenuous and everyone with a basic fitness level can do it. Along the path there are several benches to sit down and rest. At the actual waterfall there is a viewing platform, but no benches.

We were positively surprised that there is no fee to visit this waterfall, especially considering that in some parts of Thailand they charge foreigners up to 300B to see a much smaller and less beautiful waterfalls.

Note that the entrance to the parking area will be closed after 4:30pm. There is also a sign at the trailhead requesting that visitors return by 4:30pm… plan to arrive no later than 3pm, better earlier if you want to spend some time enjoying the beautiful bamboo forest surrounding the trail.

Nice short hike with a beautiful waterfall at the end, takes about 20-30 minutes to reach. Even tho we visited in the high air pollution time, it was worth it, the nature is amazing. We could still see some parts smoking. There is a sign informing about the presence of snakes so beware.

A lot of parking spaces. Free entry. There is 1.4km trek to the waterfall, going through the jungle, but very clear, no chance of getting lost. Amazing views! One of the best waterfalls I have seen. No place for swimming unfortunately. Recommending going early around 10am you have all place to yourself! Toilets on the beginning of the truck next to parking.

One of nicer waterfalls in this area. It is a half an hour walk on a well marked path. There is a free parking at the start of the trail. When you approach the waterfall, the path will split into two, both legs join however at the waterfall creating a loop. The path to the right leads to a small platform at the bottom of the waterfall, but it is rather slippery and you are likely to get soaked by the water sprayed in the air. The walk in a jungle is beautiful, not very challenging, very few steep spots. Definitely doable by families with children. The waterfall is not suitable for swimming but you can take a refreshing bath in the river next to the parking.

An easy walk to and from the waterfall. I can imagine that if it rains the path would become very difficult. It's a good idea to take a pair of flipflops or slip-on shoes that you don't mind getting wet because there are lots of rocks and stones around the falls and the bottom of the pool is stoney...
Take your time reading the information panels on the way to the falls.
We went late morning and there weren't many people at that time.

Best waterfalls I've ever been to. Reasons being, it was not at all crowded, and the trek was amazing and above all that, the view was amazing. A scenic spot which will take your breath away. There's no entrance fee, and it's a bit far from the city. Hiring a scooty is recommended, the drive to the place is amazing too.

Nice, free, waterfall. Hike is around 20 min and moderate difficulty through the jungle.

Beautiful trail, well maintained and indicated that leads to a majestic waterfall in the middle of the Thai jungle. Absolutely loved it

Lovely place! It wasn’t closed today, but when the weather hasn’t been great it will be closed. There have been some landslides along the path and even part of the path is closed due to that. Before entering the park, there are some guards where you need to sign in. If they let you in, it means the park is open. Simple as that I think.

The waterfall itself is really slippery and you can’t swim, because it’s only knee deep. But for the daredevils you can try to get close to it. Not so touristic to, because it’s closed sometimes.

It was an amazing advanture to reach the waterfall! Very hot and himid day in late september. Shoes or boots are highly recommended despite the heat. I wonder what could be hiding in that jungle not far from the footpath. And the size of the bamboo and banana trees were just enormous! It will be nice to visit again.

A very enjoyable short trek to the impressive waterfall at the end. Its quite a strenuous hike and very slippy if its rained recently but its very worth the effort.
There was no entrance fee on my visit in Covid time.

It worth every single steps and one of the must to do in chaing Rai,, if you are Alone don't be scared when you start walking on the jungle,, you will meet people infront of you or will follow you,, the wearing picture of the Green snake 🐍 at the beginning too scary than reality.

There is a camping area. The walk is 1.4 km to the Waterfall. The camping area has heaps of space and 2 restroom blocks. Very friendly staff. I was a little late (5pm) but the ranger still showed me the camp spot. The hike is pretty easy but sometimes slippery.
