SAMSAM Yao Noi - ANDAMAN MAGIC & ART VILLAS

We had six wonderful nights at SAMSAM.
Starting from the pickup service at the pier to the delicious breakfast and the comfortable, spacious rooms - everything was just perfect. The rooms offer spectacular views over the jungle and a lot of privacy at the same time.
The whole hotel is super clean and there's a vast amount of art to be discovered.

Special thanks to the manager Pooky and his team! They are doing everything to make your stay as perfect as possible and everybody is overwhelmingly friendly.

If you're looking for a beautiful place with superb service on Ko Yao Noi - this is the place to be.

I cannot recommend this place enough. Secluded in complete peace on the hillside of the island. You are surrounded by jungle and birds yet still close to the main road, restaurants and beach. An oasis with lovely pool, views, wellness spaces and breakfast. But most importantly the staff (especially the general manager sasha, nan and jiang) who went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable during all our stay.

Our stay at SAMSAM was the best choice we made for our trip to Thailand.

Together with 2 friends we stayed here for 2 nights, in the Treetop Villa (3 bedrooms).
2 days before our arrival, Pooky the hotel manager contacted us with some information and asked whether a transfer was organised or not. As we didn’t have it organised yet, he did everything for us and sent the detailed information a few hours later. The price for the private transfer was more than fair.
Upon arrival, we asked to upgrade into the Treetop villa. Despite the villa not being ready as they didn’t expect anyone to stay there, Pooky and his staff managed to get everything prepared within 1h.
During our stay the staff was simply great, the best we had during our holidays in Thailand. They organised scooters for us, gave some advice about where to go, etc… They made everything seem very easy, nothing was complicated !

The villa we stayed in was incredible as well. The private pool is the highlight of it. 3 big bedrooms, very beautiful bathrooms and a nice living room with a view. The art decoration blends in great with the style of the villas.

Regarding lunch and dinner, it is best to eat in the local restaurants which are only a 5min walk from the hotel and offer great food.

We left after 2 nights as planned, the only regret being to not be able to stay longer.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone ! Koh Yao Noi has a lot to offer and is great to explore for a few days.

I was initially reluctant to book this hotel as it didn’t have as many reviews as other places on the island. Well, let me tell you, I am so glad we booked it! We were blown away! The resort is the most tranquil place we have stayed in our whole time in Thailand. We only booked one night and we’re so sad to leave. The rooms are stunning and very spacious, the pool is wonderful and the staff are absolutely incredible. You can dine here, we had our dinner served so we didn’t have to leave. You can also have massages and book exercise classes. There’s also a well equipped gym. If you are considering booking this place, do it. Thank you SamSam, we will be back!

Best place I stayed on Thailand. very expansive but worth the price. We had a great vacation here - a family with 3 big kids. The host was very helpful.

Long story short: If youre thinking about visiting Yao Noi and the Samsam Resort: do it! You wont be dissapointed by neither and the combination is just perfect! I will try to explain why.

The complimentary pick-up itself and the check-in was really nice. As soon as we arrived at Samsam, our luggage was taken to our room and we were greeted by the mangement with a wolcome-drink.

Being at Samsam for the first time felt special. The Resort it so nicely laid out! Everything has a really high standard and its clear how well planned the whole area was. As a civil engineer, I was really impressed. Starting with the architecture and the used materials of the houses, rooms and pathways through the resort over to the arrangement of the whole resort with beautiful plants and views - it was really an eye-opener!

We stayed three nights at the Pasai-Villa and were amazed by the details it had. From the unique art on the walls to the wooden furnitures - everything was well thought of! It appears ways nicer and bigger than in the pictures. The lovely terrace with the jaccuzi was just wonderful to relax on. But our highlight was actually the bathroom. It was the largest one weve ever been in and it felt amazing getting fresh in the morning or after a long day exploring the island!

We also stayed two night at one of the Suites. While they also have unique art on the walls and have a high standard as the whole resort (furniture, bathroom) and are very nice arranged, it was - of course - still a visible downgrade from our house before. While I can also recommend the suites as they are already really nice and waaay above the average hotel room, we would still recommend to book one of the villas as they are so private and just an amazing overall-experience!

Furthermore, we were able choose a different breakfast every day. It got served directly at our house while we were at Pasai and was served inside the conference room - which is also really nice (it must be heaven, working from there) while we stayed in the suite.

We didnt try the food they offer for lunch/dinner but I guess from the quality of the breakfast, that its really good as well! We went to a lot of restaurants around the island to support the local community and can only recommend them! There hasnt been one which dissapointed us!

The resort itself is perfectly situated in my opinion. Its the east coast of Yao Noi that has the nicest beaches, restaurants and bars some of them are reachable by foot. I can still recommend renting a scooter directly at Samsam. It was so easy and really nice to explore the island. You cant even call it traffic as there are only a couple of cars and motorbikes driving around the island. It was so relaxing and fun after driving in Phuket before! If you still dont feel like driving a Scooter, you can ride a complimentary bike, which were looking really good (full-suspension). Apart from that, you dont need a scooter or bike to get to the nearest and excellent restaurants such as Kaya or Lek's, the Extra Time Sports Bar or the nearest beach. Its just a three minute stroll up to the resort which is really easy manageable.

I also want to underline, how nice the island itself is! It really is a little and untouched paradise. There are not a lot of tourists and you have one of the best beaches I've seen with the most incredible view of the limestone rocks right in front of you! If youre looking for a laidback island - this is it! The atmosphere is so relaxing and because of that everybody is too! Hopefully, this island stays liks that!

Lastly, I want to say thank you to the whole staff! Everybody is really friendly and helpful. You really feel like you are a special guest as they take such a great care of you!

The combination of Yao Noi with Samsam Resort was just an incredible, made our stay perfect and one, we will think of for a long time! We will hopefully be able to come back one day!

Wonderful place with great staff. The Villa was so beautiful and overlooked the jungle and terraces. The staff was incredibly attentive and accommodated. Can’t wait to stay again.

Beautiful, relaxing, elegant stay. SamSam is a slice of paradise inside the mountainous island jungle, tucked away in seclusion yet close to the action—a big difference from several of the other nice resorts on Koh Yao Noi that are far away from the beaches and local restaurants.

The resort is tastefully decorated with unique fine art and sculptures, and offers a nice blend of relaxation and adventure. They are very helpful with arranging transportation onto and off of the island, and have scooters for rent so you can explore the island.

The hospitality here is top notch, and the hotel manager Pooky is incredibly friendly and helpful. They’ll help arrange your visit to your desires, whether it’s day trips or a delicious dinner at the resort (highly recommend folks try it, the food was incredible).

Wir waren 6 Nächte im SAMSAM Yao Noi und fanden es großartig. Die Mitarbeiter sind super freundlich und zuvorkommend und achten darauf, dass man sich wie zu Hause fühlt.
Es wurde sich hervorragend um alles gekümmert, das Essen war sehr lecker, der Service grandios und wann immer wir eine Frage oder ein Anliegen hatten, wurde uns von Pooky geholfen.
Eines der schönsten Unterkünfte, die wir bis jetzt erleben durften.

Wir würden wieder kommen!

Un petit Havre de paix, l'infrastructure est top, la piscine une dinguerie et des prestations dignes d'un 5 etoiles. Il ne manque qu'une chose à petit paradis. La vue mer et notre chambre un peu en contrebas n'avait pas de vue du tout !

Superbe hôtel sur les hauteurs de l’île mais proche plage ! Personnel aux petits soins ! Golf est une réceptionniste d’exception !
