Beautiful temple! Serene grounds with multiple pagodas to see and express your well wishes or prayers.
Small affordable coffee shop located on grounds to provide refreshing drinks for the many visitors that come to pay their respects.
Bathroom facilities are more than adequate to accommodate large gatherings.
Don’t forget to bring a little extra money to buy a basket of corn to feed the elephants.

One of the most beautiful wats. Wooden structures that are immaculate and serene. The chedi is giant and a pleasure to walk around. Also saw elephants grazing nearby. Plenty of amulets here, too.

Beautiful buildings made from wood. There is a huge pavilion that consists of 112 poles. It is the largest pavilion in Thailand. There are many things to see, and there is also an elephant feeding area.

It was very hot the day we visited here, so it was hard to get the perfect place to find a good place to take a photo.

The numbers of people here also made it hard to take good shots. So patience is what you need.

We have been to a few temples over the past few days, and this one was very popular.

Another temple to visit as early in the day possible due to the crowds and the heat.

We found parking easy here, and walking to the temple was ok.

This temple when complete will be the CENTER OF KALISIN. Not only is this a Religious Experience but more importantly it's a Tribute to THIA CRAFTSMANSHIP. In my Opinion Only the Sanctuary of Truth Museum Mr. Lek Viriyaphan would be PROUD of this Architecture WONDER. I'm sure that One Day this will be designated a World Heritage Site.

Delightful place. Beautiful blond teak temple. I liked the coffee shop, and the elephants were amiable.

Not just a world-class temple and wooden structures, this is the single most important spiritual site and place of interest in the city, province, and the whole surrounding area... It offers everything you could ask for in a single area - a huge golden chedi, impressive wooden buildings, water features, unique sculptures, elephants under baobob trees, street vendors, coffee shops, clean restrooms, a barn-sized Chinese gong, and plenty of other selfie-worthy attractions. You could spend hours here, but it takes about 30 minutes to just walk around the area and see the outside of every building. If you see nothing else in Maha Sarakham, see this!

A lovely Buddhist temple complex. Several structures to explore. I think it best to go either in the morning when they open (8:00?) or in the late afternoon (before 18:00) when they close to avoid the heat and have good lighting for your photos.

A remarkably large Wat made from giant Teak trees.
Wat Pa Wang Nam Yen is a Buddhist temple located in Maha Sarakham Province, Thailand. It is a popular tourist destination, known for its large wooden worship pavilion, which is the largest in Thailand. The pavilion was built in 1999 by Phra Ajarn Suriyachat, a Buddhist monk who is also the founder of the temple.

The pavilion is made of massive teak wood lumber and is supported by 112 pillars. It is decorated with intricate carvings and paintings, depicting scenes from Buddhist mythology. The pavilion is a popular place for meditation and prayer. It is also used for religious ceremonies, such as ordinations and festivals. I didn't like the lighting which is achieved through gaudi chandeliers.

In addition to the pavilion, Wat Pa Wang Nam Yen also has a number of other buildings, including a monastery, a library, and a museum. The museum houses a collection of artifacts related to Buddhism, including Buddha statues, manuscripts, and religious objects.

Wat Pa Wang Nam Yen is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. It is a great place to learn about Buddhism and to experience Thai culture.

Here are some of the things you can do at Wat Pa Wang Nam Yen:
