Chapar'S Coffee

This was the first place we hit once we landed in El Salvador. Our flight was long and tiring and this place was a blessing after all the airport chaos. We ordered some food with that real and genuine central american taste. Food was beyond great and the coffee was exemplary. The coffee beans came straight from the plant located on the volcano, ground and brewed on sight to where we could visibly see and smell the superiority of this coffee.

This is the best restaurant in the greater San Miguel area. It's up on the side of the mountain. They have a huge outdoor seating area and no indoor seating. There is a pool table. There's also some steps where you can walk up and look at a little coffee patch. When you get in, don't sit at the first table you see! Poke around a bit and find when you really like. Sometimes they have a live musician. If you are an american, you might be surprised that the cake is wet, the garlic bread has more cheese than you're used to, and the pizza is very doughy. Don't be concerned by that though, this is "the Salvadoran style" and your food is not undercooked. They just do these recipes different than in the United States. I highly recommend the hot chocolate. Sometimes they also sell handmade objects like cutting boards here. The owners are very nice and are invested in the well-being of their staff. This restaurant has flush toilets but the water pressure is very low so you may have to flush the toilet more than once.

A nice spot between the nature and a really nice weather to enjoy a coffee or a meal.

On mange très bien et ce n'est pas trop chère. Se come bien, no es muy Caro y tiene buen café. Is not too expensive as a restaurant and they have the best coffee.

Un lugar agradable comida muy buena personal amable pero sobre todo el clima un clima muy fresco a todas horas del dia, restaurante rustico pero exelente para olvidar el ajetreo de la ciudad con una exelente vista al volcan chaparrastique...tambien se transmite la liga española.
