Great Salvadoran roadside restaurant to stop at for desayuno on the way to the airport. They were expanding when we were there a few years ago and seems like they still are today (Feb 2024).
It has pretty views through the sign/fence at the rear. We even saw a Torogoz! (National bird of El Salvador). It was fluttering between two trees for several minutes, but we could not get very good pics with my cellphone. Still, very exciting! Must have been our lucky day!

Amazing local spot where you can watch the pupusas being made. Of all the pupusarias, this is the one to hit!

The breakfast buffet was hugely popular. The pupusas are fantastic. It's basically a Salvadorian cracker barrel.

I dropped by Tipicos Carmencita while on my way to the beach. I enjoyed a Salvadorean style breakfast: casamiento (mixed beans and rice), fried plantain, cuajada (cheese), cream and huevos con ejote (scrambled eggs with green beans). In addition, you can chose from a variety of tasty native dishes, such as pupusas, empanadas, torrejas, tamales, nuegados, etc.
