This is an incredible location to enjoy an afternoon swim and gorgeous views! Not overly commercialized, and is a very natural experience. We got to swim with cows that were walking along the river! Highly recommend this location!! Best time to visit is between 10-4 in the winter, as the sun starts to set behind the tree line around 430 in January.

I can’t even describe it. This place is beautiful. They close at 5pm in weekdays, I got there later because I did not know that the close at that time but the person working there was so kind and let us check the place. The road is not the best one but the place is really worthy.

Amazing place. I spoke to the people who work there and a farmer. You can no longer swim in the falls area… it is very dangerous. Several people have died. The second fall after the primary develops whirlpool and if by accident you go into it. Will end badly. Primary fall has a large rock that has made it dangerous for jumping.

It’s very odd seeing a waterfall with hot water when it’s over 90 degrees outside. But it’s absolutely beautiful. The water is so hot it takes some getting used to. There are small black slugs that stick to you in the water. The area is fairly small so not much to walk around and explore but it’s certainly a relaxing area to chill and enjoy the falls. Entry fee was $1

Best thing we’ve done in El Salvador! Natural waterfalls and cliff jumping into 32°C water. Take a tuktuk from Atiquizaya. Just go!!!

This is a cool place to relax in hot, flowing water. The waterfall is beautiful. It's worth the time.

Very easy to visit independently using public transport.

Take the 210 bus from Francisco Lara Pineda Bus Terminal in Santa Ana to Atiquizaya ($0.50). You will be dropped off at the main plaza, from here you can get a tuk tuk to the waterfalls (You shouldn't pay more than $2).

Entrance to the site is currently $1.50 and this includes use of the onsite toilets.

On the way back you can either walk out to the road and catch a passing tuk tuk or hitchhike back into town.

Hot springs Water Fall Best place ever, if you like outdoors event charge$2 for car & $1 por person, really nice place, barbecues, rest. Play in the hot water etc..
Road it's not bad it's small with a few holes. If you decide to visit respect local walking people & slow down & have fun..

El Salvador 🇸🇻 2023

Bring cash. Very small entrance fee which probably goes towards the very clean restrooms.

We were the only ones there so no guides so we didnt really know where to go. Was like some crazy fun adventure!

We crossed the 2 wooden scary bridges and found a staircase leading to the bottom of the falls. You cant go very much further than that but there is a spot you can climb down, very slippery, to be under the waterfalls. My video shows a safe way to climb down. The water was very hot but super refreshing.

There's also a small hole where feeder 🐠 are waiting to eat the dead skin off your feet similar to the spas in Thailand. Do be kind and feed the 🐟 😅.

Nice guy selling 🍦🍨. Even if not your thing please buy some to support him.

Felt like we were exploring Skyrim.

They have definitely invested to preserve the place a lot more. They have bathrooms in the area. The waterfall is very clean now. This is warm water 🤩 book tours with us. @salvitours

Fantastic hot spring, entrance is cheap for what you get, Cars and bikes are charged extra. There’re 2 ways to get there, one is from Atiquizaya and this is the better street, the one from Ahuachapan rides through a difficult gravel road with lots of rocks. Easy to reach with a 4x4 or a dirt bike, then the way you go doesn’t matter. But if you’re with a scooter or standard car, better to go from Atiquizaya. Right at the entrance there is a small shop, in case you forgot to bring something to drink or snacks. Trash cans are around this area, so no need to throw your trash into the water.

A hidden gem of thermal waterfalls, this was by far my favorite waterfall due to the hot springs. No guide needed, the drive is a bit bumpy and parking is only $2. You can also bring your 🐶. There's also space for camping.

The road gets bumpy off the main highway but it's worth it. Charge per person and parking. A restaurant on premises.

Mind blown! There are a few hot water rivers in El Salvador and Guatemala but this is the first we’d visited. The water was spa pool hot and there’s so much of it. Enjoyed by locals and tourists. Great atmosphere.

We rode from Ahuachapan and google maps sent us down dirt roads. That’s unavoidable but it’s much easier to take the longer, faster route via Atiquizaya.

Had the best time here with my friends. Incredible experience. We had a private driver whom really helped us get there. Nice and honest person- +503 6304 9425 Amilcar Salas. who even took pictures of us and returned back to Santa Ana for us. Nice, roomy comfy car.

I’m going to keep this short and say if you are in Santa Ana you absolutely positively must see this place. I hate putting this post up knowing that one day this will become a very popular place to see but I would also like to see Santa Anna get the credit it deserves for great places for tourism. This place was very interesting considering the water was really hot in the waterfalls were safe to jump into. Nobody was around when we went but I hear it gets busy on the weekends. It’s quite difficult to get to and only locals know the path. I would definitely not recommend you trying to find it yourself but of course it is doable. You can always hire a taxi and you know exactly where to go

A nice place but we've been there in a wrong time. It just rained, that's why the color of the water is like that. I suggest to check the weather first before you go..
