Beautiful view! Devil's Gate sits at 3250 feet above sea level. Well organized by tour guide. Everyone is friendly as you go up with a group of people. Wear the right comfortable shoes if you will be climbing. I am in fair shape and the climbing was challenging. No regrets and will do it again. Once I got down I treated myself to the delicious typical snacks available along the road.

We climbed the north tower ($1.50 for locals, $3.00 for foreigners). Looks like a new zip line will be ready to go into operation soon. (Ugh, more tourists!) Our guide, Kevin, posed with me overlooking his hometown of Panchimalco on the way down.
It's a bit more controlled than our visits in last years. Now has some glass floors and railings on street level. Always beautiful, epic views! You can see the Pacific on clear days!

Since this has been remodeled, wow! Just wow! View is breathtaking and the new upgrades makes this place the perfect day trip for all ages.
You can view off the rails or take the short hikes set by the original puerta del Diablo. Those were untouched and I love that. You can also pay to go to the highest point. $3 local $6 Tourists.
They also have a lot of food stops at the bottom, selling mostly corn based local dishes. This place is a must visit with the family. Parking is a little silly. You pay $1 to park, very monitored, but people are constantly going in and out. My suggestion is to park in the designated spaces, drive extremely slow until you see someone pulling out. Otherwise, you will have to park along the side of the road but it can get a little tight and risk getting side swiped. Also very monitored, not sure if they charge you to park there but there is cops walking the car trails back and forth.

Newly renovated visitor center at Puerta del Diablo. Excellent place to visit and get to the outdoors for a short hike of 430 ft above sea level. The visitor center is fully equipped with conveniences such as restrooms, medical team/ park guides, souvenir shops, food vendors offering snacks and local traditional dishes, delicious food at affordable prices parking available. Weekends get packed, best time to before noon time!
Very safe place to visit, locals and tourists go there for freshly made pupusas and more…..

It was amazing! The view is great. The place has an outstanding setup, communications, security; small stores, and restrooms that you may need are accessible. Even when getting a parking spot is hard, it's worth it. Clim every stairs, you won't regret it.

One of the few natural places in Latin America where you pay to enter, and actually receive quality facilities. Great view, many well-priced food options. Irritating to go with a tour, we are adults and should be able to climb rocks by ourselves 😂
