Beautiful views of the volcano crater in this National Park. Entrance /Parking is $5. Takes you around 35-40 min to go around the trail (which consists mostly of stairs. Worth the walk! Make sure you go before 3pm because fog might start to reach the area after this time.

It's absolutely amazing. Wear comfortable shoes, bring water, and make sure your phone is charged to take pictures. There is construction going on in the park itself, so be prepared to navigate around what's being worked on. The street up has plenty of street vendors, but be kind and tip those who help you park ($5 goes a long way). The park has parking, but more than likely, you'll park on the outside on the side of the road. The new construction is enhancing lookouts, but be careful with small children and dogs. There are lots of stray dogs. If you have water, be sure to share. Enjoy the views 😎

Interesting natural place.
You can go walking to the top of volcano El Boqueron, and see the 1.5 km volcano crater.
Pedestrian access roads to the top are being renovated. New viewpoints are being built. For SAFETY, in the so-called MIRADOR DE CRISTAL be attentive, for safety reasons there cannot be more than 15 people on the platform.

Amazing. easy day trip to the very top of a dormant volcano! A few steps make it a slight workout, a perfect trip with children.

The access at the top is narrow and parking is difficult and limited. There a several tourist shops and restaurants at the top and needless to say that the views of the capital are breathtaking! ❤🇸🇻

It was beautiful. Pathways were clearly marked & free of debris.
We really enjoyed having a cup of coffee at the top of the volcano

Finally went here and wow. My mind was blown and got some great pics with my drone. Drone friendly. They upgraded everything and it looks pretty. If you are not from El Salvador go with family so you can pay the non tourist price.

This is one of the closest volcanos you can visit from the city center. It's a 28 minute drive from the city centre to the park entrance. Uber is available to take you there as well as pick you up and bring you back. Upon arrival you will pay Two dollars per person per admission. The Uber was nine dollars each way. There are lots of options for food and beverage as well as souvenirs. It's an easy ascent to the lookout where you have a glass floor and a great view of the Caldera.

There's a ton of construction happening, building infrastructure here. There's a nice little interpretative center, well developed trails, several restrooms and what will soon be snack stations. Great lookouts. Parking is limited and the road is narrowed with cars parked on one side as you near the park.

Very lovely. Easy to hike. Definitely a must see while in El Salvador, especially the glass overhang. Great views of the mountains and vistas of the area!

The little cafe shop on top is expensive but then again it's a tourist spot. The improvements to the hike are very helpful and comfortable

Great view of the volcano crater and it has been remodeled nicely, but the parking spaces are minimum... they can fit approximately 10 to 12 vehicles...

Great views. Go on weekdays. Locals say weekends gets full and parking is limited.
Next time I'll the the tour down to the bottom on the volcano, which is about 4 hrs down and 5 -6 up. Visibility is usually poor because it's almost always cloudy or foggy. Overall, awesome experience. Trails to the lookout places is not that bad. Just take your time and enjoy the views.

The drive up was beautiful but google maps wanted to take us up impassable roads - use Waze. The views are beautiful. It is a short climb with several stairs. The rim hike is limited to a few hundred feet. Parking is $5 for foreigners. It was great.

My first time here was November 14th and I do not regret it. First off, I would like to say how refreshing the cool weather was in this area. I mean Wow, I could see myself living in an area like this! I was instantly put at ease because the last this I really wanted to do walk trails and climb stairs in high heat. I believe I payed a $3 entrance fee as a foreigner, not bad. The beautiful weather in this lush national park made exploration a breeze. There are several vendors along the way just in case you need refreshments. The scenic views of volcanoes and exotic vegetation are sights to behold. Do yourself a favor and visit this beautiful park.

The hike took about an hour to complete. It is a wonderful ecosystem with many different flowers and fauna. The hike is not too strenuous and it's definitely kid friendly. The view from the top of the volcanic crater is stunning. On your way down the hill, there are many fruit vendors on the side of the street selling many wonderful fruits and veggies. Please stop by to buy something before you leave.

Beautiful views of the caldera just a short 10 minute hike from the parking lot. Very nice views of San Salvador from a tower in the parking lot as well.

The hike to the Volcano viewing area has some very steep steps. Those with limited mobility may not be able to make it.
