Stunning! The history of it is fascinating and the structure hits all your senses to include smell when you walk inside. I’ve never seen such a unique church and am very glad I made the drive to see it!

Nice place, very historical. Beautiful art. Unfortunately tour is at set hours and only in Slovak. Local church keeper is a very nice lady tho.

Very nice church built mostly from wood. UNESCO heritage. There are also other evangelical churches like this across Slovakia. Nice place, it's quiet, because it is hidden from the main road. Visit it...

One of its kind in Slovakia and rightfully included on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the church is a fine example of the articular wooden churches found in the Carpathians of Slovakia. You have to call some given numbers attached at the front door to enter and see the interior. Still, the wooden architecture is something worth admiring.

It is a must see. Articular church that had to be built without iron nails or stones or bricks... Still standing strong!

Amazing church. It is so different than any other. Obligatory to be visit inside.
Unfortunately it is opened by old lady who speak only Slovak. You need to ring to the house next to a church and she will come to open it.
There are hours for visit it but when we were there nobody come to open it. And thankfully to the old lady we visit it inside and it worth it! She speak slowly and we understand almoust everything.

This is really a unique place. Take a little detour from main roads and visit it. Surrounded by very old trees, this wooden church is just amazing. Main structure is build just from wood without any Iron made piece.

Truly special place. Surrounded by huge tree old as the ⛪ itself stand wooden structure build without any nail that can accommodate more than 1000 people. We were lucky enough to find it open. The lady played us an explanation tape in English. The signs to get to the church are frequent and well posted (at least arriving from Zvolen).

Beautiful, unique church made purely of wood. There are not many tourists around so you have a chance to just sit down and enjoy the time with your thoughts.

Beautiful old wooden evangelic church, Unesco site. The key keeper lives in the house beside the church and is very nice and helpful to all visitors. Old lady, that knows many interesting facts about the church and its history and surprisingly, speaks bit english and german :)
