Water Edge-Runner Mill Jelka

Skansen is little bit small but it’s very nice. There is parking for free just few meters away from Skansen. Water mill have three floors but be careful if you are tall. There is text in Slovak English and Hungarian language. Next to Skansen is restaurant and also small park next to river to chill. Enjoy your stay and relax :)

🌿 Nice open-air museum in nature and next the river “Maly Dunaj”. The entrance is around 2 EUR and you will get lot of information about water mill in this region. Nice staff welcoming you. The museum is in Slovak, Hungarian and English 👍🏻

Beautiful original watermill at a great spot along the river. You can see how everything moves and functions inside the mill. There is a small open air museum around the mill, with old farming gear and bee hives.

I really liked this historic place, which evoked one of the major professions of ancient times as the miller. The view of the working machines in the mini museum is wonderful. The collection of utility objects seen in that museum which is next to the mill, that was very wonderful.

Historic mill right on the water with restaurants beside it. The best way to see this mill is from the water by canoeing down the river.

Great place to relax , enjoy the view, have a lunch, bruch or dine or just take your picnic basket and recommed to try their fried fish , most delicious.

Worth visiting when you are around. The inside consists of all machinery where you can closely see how the entire system works and how grain was processed in the past. Nicely reconstructed and great "show" for the little ones. Worth of the 2 eur entrance fee.

Despite of the mill is a replica, all equipment is original. It shows how it worked in the past. Prepare 2€ per person as an entrance fee. Great place for a weekend trip 👍🏼

Really nice place next to the water. Great to swim and have something to eat or drink. The pancakes are amazing.

There is a camping facility with toilets that leave a little to be desired but not really unclean. Lots of families having fun but also plenty to do for younger people.

Just make sure to pack tick spray. I left with 3 souvenirs!

A nice friendly place. A Mill is worth visiting. The price is symbolic. Plus I got there for free cos the owner said I look like a child in my 40s 😜. Best compliment ever))) there are toilets on the territory. Close by there is a nice restaurant with amazing food and a place to enjoy the view on the Dunai. There is also a children's playground there and we saw campers as well. Worth visiting on your way from Bratislava.

Amazing spot. Great for picnic by riverside, or to have a meal at one of the pubs.

Worth your while! We started in Jelka and rented a canoe. The water was very calm and I would recommend it for families and beginners alike. At the end, there is a restaurant with fish and other pretty tasty foods. Over all, would visit again!!

Perfectly renovated water mill, worth to visit !!!

It is a quiet yet interesting place . The old mill is still functional and the nice lady that sold the tickets told a few stories and showed how the mill is working. Peaceful way to spend a day out in nature.

Its beautiful place to visit and nice time with family,great restaurant,water mill exposition on the bank of Small Danube. Great selection of fish food and others.

Did a 2 hrs.cnoe trip. Absolutely loved the Small Danube. Gorgeous place!
